a 20+ pt lead late in the 4th, you should be ENCOURAGING the bench guys to get their looks, not screaming for the ball.

he wasn't even remotely open so its not like DIawara missed or misread a play. That's the kind of reaction you'd expect if KAT was wide open and being shrugged off.

This KAT lineup would probably have better chemistry with him. They would also probably get him the ball in his spots better than the first group. Diawara’s development is key because he is a more natural passer and ball handler than both OG and Bridges. I foresee he and Hart being able to grab offensive rebounds when KAT drifts out on the perimeter. Plus Hart can slash to the basket with KAT pulling the bigs out of the lane. Obviously Kolek has the best chemistry with KAT than all of our guards.

Kolek needs to get minutes. KAT and Bridges have been the most impacted by him not being in the rotation. He has court vision that neither Brunson or Deuce does. When these guys are getting fed on offense they seem to be more locked in on defense. I know Hart is a leader on his team so we should keep starting him, but after a few minutes we need to sub in Deuce to go with the backcourt rotation I highlighted in that previous post: JB/Deuce and Kolek/Shamet. Then for the rest of the game just rotate Hart/Mikal/OG at SF/PF. And for the times that we go double bigs, we should always have Deuce or Shamet at SG.

Not sure which one of you works for the Knicks org, but thank you for showing my post to the Knicks coaching staff.

If Towns decides to do that he would be the best the league has ever seen at rebounding and passing. He just needs to cut down on those fouls and he has been doing it the last few games. Our Championship would be much closer than if he was just shooting 3's and driving into traffic,like he has been doing his whole career. He can still do that and be effective if he does the other blue collar things

yea I saw him demonstratively clapping at Diawara for not passing him the ball after he hit a shot. And it wasn't even like KAT was open, he just wanted the ball. felt like he was picking a the rookie b/c he would never do that to one of the vets. Really not a good look up 20 in a blowout demanding the ball from a rookie. I could see if it was a close game but in a blowout?

reminds me of a few weeks ago when KAT finally hit a shot, started flexing while we were getting blown out, and then took a fadeaway 3 falling out of bounds next possession where he kicked out his legs and got an offensive foul that killed any rally.

IDK if he's always been this way or not, but his entire demeanor is just not that of a serious player. He's a clown right now.

I was clear and said it was my view. Unsubstantiated look at the video with no audio you take the negative slant an ran with it. I counted with it as a non issue.

Some fans want to find anything and run with hit.

We don't knwo what goes on in practice or in the locker room. The encourangement or the criticisms. That an unheralded rookie is getting time, even some starts is telling at a lot of points. And if so starting, its a professional league and they are held to a standard. Age? If he is 19 but in the game, he is a professinal and held to a standard. The evidence mounts in front of your eyes and you don't need to know if a person has issues off the court. What matters is their behavior on the court that is increasingly detrimental to the team.

If you blurt out objections at every meeting at work you'll get fired. HR is not going to ask if you are getting a good night's sleep at home.

Likewise, fans don't need to hire a private investigator to parse out the reasons behind their behavior. Their behavior is public. Nobody needs to justify their take on that behavior because they don't have a bug planted in the locker room. That's absurd.

Im not "Defending KAT". I am tolerating him and his foibles. Why? His jersey says "NEW YORK" and im rooting for him to be better. I did the same for Jules also. Same for Mikal. Can't judge him for the draft picks whose outcome is years away. Now when the team is in win now mode.
This is not about Nalod and "see I told you I was right!".......Odds are the knicks don't win a chip and dudes like you get to boast "Told you we can't win with KAT!". The odds were never there anyway. Being a favorite means you have a better chance. Thats all. Not like this team was in dynasty mode and Kat ruined it all. Fact is he has elevated his game when he got here. Not to MVP levels. You did notice we got to conf. finals last year, right? Yes, Mitch was valuable. He was not in top form last year. This year he is minutes restricted and so far so good.

Team is back on track and winning. Not like KAT is out getting arrested or beating up his girl. He is whiney dude who is trying to contain it.
I apprecite the effort, the rebounds, and yes he gets hacked and should be more chill for it.

We got a long way to go. We were losing to bad teams we are now pounding. That was a good quality win last night, again vs Toronto on a back to back, and vs Philly the last week or so.

We can win with KAT if he contributes effectively on defense every night.

I will give him the leeway to surprise me because odds are he will still be a Knick after the trade deadline and I'd prefer he does what it takes to win.

I think the odds of KAT doing that with consistency are low, but it is up to him, not us.
