I don’t see the point in having Sims as the 3rd center. But if Thibs plays him at PF, then Sims gets the 10th spot in Thibs 9 man rotation. If Hart can play PF effectively, then maybe EF makes since for more shooting which is a need. Deuce back to G league unfortunately, until a blockbuster trade occurs.

I don't want I-Hart outside chucking mediocre 3's - he has elite rebounding % #s and is always in the right spot defensively - + nice passing - --- I say just let him play role he did 2nd half of last season. Keep the 3's in his pocket - get on the boards.

right but we have a lot of guys who like to drive to the rim, JR, JB, RJ etc. having a stretch 5 could be helpful in some situations

I don't see Evan getting time over Dante and Deuce is never going to get real minutes unless there's an injury. I will say that Sims has looked lost in preseason so far. But given Mitch's injury history, I can guarantee that Sims will play decent minutes at some point of the season.

Looking at that 9 man rotation, there’s only 3 bigs and 6 guards. One obvious question is how will these knicks hold up against a bigger team? We should know by the first month.

To be honest, we talking about the 10th man, who will get minimum to no minutes. So it really doesn't matter, since Sims or whoever else, outside of Josh Hart, will be 3rd string backup PF. Hart brings too much to the team to complain about his height or defending taller players. Keep in mind they also have to defend him.

And until there's a trade or injuries, I find it hard to believe Sims, Deuce or EF will have more playing time than any of these 9 guys.

If you say so. Hope your right. Chains are only as strong as their weak st links. All it takes is a stint of a back up for 6 minutes for another team to go on a big run that you can't climb out of. So I can see your POV but I can see a weak bench player contributing to another team taking a big run in a game and we could lose a few games that way. Just saying.
