1) Minutes are earned not purchased with salary. Nothing is guaranteed.
2) Gonna be hard for anyone to outwork Randle for minutes. Obi learned that and asked out. I wish him well.
3) Gonna be hard for anyone to outwork Barrett for minutes. His eFG leaves room for someone to work smarter.
4) Gonna be hard for anyone to outwork Brunson for minutes. His defense leaves some room for a defensive replacement, but not much.
4) IQ and Grimes disappeared in the playoffs. Hart took all the extra minutes. Gonna be hard to get those minutes back.
5) Divincenzo is the new kid on the block. But he looks like he works hard. Grimes should be looking over his shoulder. Its possible DDV is starting SG for game 1.
6) Knicks still need a backup PF even if the minutes aren't there. IH/JS work in a pinch, Roby has the ability to earn it. Anyone coming in needs to know they gotta earn it.
7) I am still looking for a trade before I get worked up about the rotation. Don't know what Toronto does with OG, but that should be on the tip of our tongue. Not sure what happens with Embiid, or why Philly would leave him in division, or why OKC wouldn't outbid us by a ton, but it would be a cool until Embiid gets injured in the playoffs.
Long story short, someone has to come in with a fire to take those minutes from the rotation, not be content to accept them. Maybe Knox learns that on his way back here?
