I would imagine he has little choice? He just got waived. No trade value, not even for a 2nd round pick?
I said this when he was in college when touted by fans: “He does not have an NBA body”.
He worked really hard to to get to where he is at the moment. But, at age 23 its not happening.
Is it a waste to park him on the bench? Not at a min cost. He can play, but can he sustain?
His long ball was surprisingly not good when I looked it up.
Can’t imagine some team does not pick him up, but what don’t we know? Orlando has too many players and are getting improved. It happens.

Long story short, someone has to come in with a fire to take those minutes from the rotation, not be content to accept them. Maybe Knox learns that on his way back here?

I dunno, but I felt Taj was shot while he was still on the Knicks. How did he do last season?

Bol Bol is interesting. He’d likely be depth at Center to go along with a smaller 4 guard lineup. Sims could also move to PF as a backup since Bol can actually provide perimeter shooting from the Center position.

As a defender Bol still needs to put on weight and get stronger but he can block shots all day and night

The Knicks are poised to make a trade for a more significant player, whether that is a full time rotation player or much better.

The logistics and return on a Williams type deal is definitely not it

Knicks need both. And I'm guessing they aren't nearly done yet.

Dallas had to give up assets to sign their guy (and get some picks back), Knicks did not, so I am not sure it's in the same cost space? Hard to tell what the second round picks are but they also gave up an unprotected first round swap in 2030. That'll be on the next GM but could be UGLY.
