Honestly…

Still not a great result.

He’s overpaid Julius whose turned into a diva.

He signed three guys he didn’t need to and had to give up a pick to do so. The kid we traded to the Pistons looks like he could be a nice player.

He wasted a first on Cam Resdish for no apparent reason.

Obi over Haliburton.

Fournier over Bullock.

So we are a 6th seed locked in with no future space. He needs to do something.

But, this is a nice signing. Even Bill Simmons and the guys at the ringer liked it.

Jalen is a nice player, you need to overpay everyone, the number doesn’t seem terrible.

The measure of competency is not the mistakes you make - but how you fix those mistakes.

Also .... I'm not sure Randle's salary was an overpayment given where salaries are currently trending (i.e. $50M-$60M for super max deals) and projected increases to the cap. Randle will be $23.7 next year - then $25.6, $27.5 and a player option at $29.4.

This is a A++++++ signing. Do you know how much this guy could open stuff for us? He'll keep Mitch on his toes for sure.

I said many times that he should be fired if Brunson didn’t sign with us. I own that. He made a couple of good signings, including Brunson, so he is safe from the axe of Allanfan right now.

In the past, roster & cap space would be set up for a player everyone knew we wanted, and that player would play us to get more $$ from another team. I'll assume we had inside information on what Brunson wanted to do, and Rose acted accordingly.

iHart is good. Easy to type.

Simms is kind of quiet, he staying at 3rd string? Trade Fodder?

iHart running those top of the key back door plays with Obi and cam looks like fun!
Player backs off to defend it he can shoot there. Pulling a big man out never hurts. Curious is mitch gets a green light from there eventually?

Said it earlier...he appears to be a decent team player who plays hard & understands the game (love that he can pass)...so why has he been moved around so much?

It was a great signing for not much money...but why was he available in the first place?

Most center do move from team to team this days. The positional value isn't what it used to be.

Did Clippers have enough room to bring him back?

No, and he reportedly wanted to return. Sounds like the Caruso situation with the Lakers.

We may need to bring the ALBA back. I haven't been this motivated since Natasha Fizdale (
pre pregnancy).

Hopefully, for the purpose of winning games, I would rather Knicks 2nd season Simms become MitchRob's backup off the bench at the start of the regular season. Especially, if Thibs has plans on having strong defense in the paint for 48 min to stop opponents inside scoring.

The Clippers let Hartenstein walk because he wasn't a strong inside backup for Zubac.
Plus when the Clippers traded for Blazzers PF/C Covington (above the rim hops) on the Feb. deadline, that also gave Hartenstein his walking papers.

I think it was more because of the Wall signing. Hartenstein's market was set weeks before free agency. The Clips could either bring Hart back or sign Walk with their mid-level and they chose Wall.
