1st order of business is to trade Randle. I would look into the Lakers and see if we can make a deal. They are desperate and LeBron might be foolish enough to think he can fix Randle.

re-Sign Mitch. Mitch and Sims manning the C position fills 1 of the hard positions to get in the NBA.

See what we have in Cam Reddish. I really like this kid. I thought he was just a shooter but his defense and playmaking is a revelation to me.

We really need a vet playmaking PG. If Rose can come back then we are golden. However, I am not sure if this is prudent. Rubio would be great if he has recovered from his injuries.

Draft 4s and 5s that can shoot.

I really hope Rokas pans out.

Let's trade our best player and put our hopes on a 2nd round pick.

I’m not sure he’s the best for the team. Lebron is 10 x better
A Davis is 10x better but they did not make a good team.
I think our best bet is to evolve around iq rj and obi. Randle hurts obi growth. No way he is not a starter at the 4 spot.

You have to add Mitch to that group.

The Toppin & Quickley breakout were in the empty stadiums during the 2020-21 season in a lineup having D.Rose, Burks, and Taj Gibson.
The Knicks 2nd unit lineup of D.Rose, Quickley, Burks, Obi, and Taj Gibson are the lineup that WON last season playoff game.
Head coach Thibs couldn't have the Knicks 2nd unit BENCH lineup performing 10 times better than the Knicks starter lineup this season, or in the post season games. So coach Thibs took PG Payton out the post season rotation. And took PG Kemba out of this season rotation.
Head coach Thibs knew the results of taking the starter PG out of the rotation before he did it.

Randle & Barrett performance has become worthless on the Knicks team, and could be valuable somewhere else ..
Both need to be traded in the off season to Portland for Dame's offensive-minded performance, especially if we are not gonna replace the non-offensive head coach Thibs.

Brogdon is a fine player, but his Indiana teams went nowhere despite being loaded with talent. At 29 years old, he is what he will ever be. At $20m per year, he is making similar money to Fournier and his impact will be similar too. EF was also a good fit on paper, I still cannot understand why it did not work out this season.

Brogdon has just 2 years left on his deal. His “Indiana teams went nowhere”? They at least made the playoffs up until this season when they decided to blow it up mid season and trade Sabonis. Knicks have made the playoffs once since 2013. And I recall Brogdon bucks teams making playoff runs

They made the playoffs, but it took them nowhere and now they are back at rebuilding. The Bucks made playoff runs with Brogdon, but won a championship without him.

I understand that the Knicks have set expectations extremely low, but lateral trades for a player who would at best get us back into the playoffs for an early exit - I just cannot get excited about. This is like taking money out of the left pocket and putting it into the right, it won't make you any richer. I would not mind trading EF for Brogdon straight up, at least it addresses a greater need on our roster, but do not expect any miracles from that.

The objective should be to incrementally build a good team. Stay competitive and make the playoffs and hope the young core blossoms into a great core and/or we end up eventually attracting a superstar or two. KD and Kyrie literally picked the Nets over us after promising Perry for 2 years they were coming here because the nets made the playoffs and got eliminated round 1 while we went 17-65

Brogdon or Dinwiddie help us get back to the playoffs next year. That’s what we need to do both short term and long term
