Knicks look good as a run and gun team. The second you put Randle back in, we become a half court team, and we just suck at that, especially against a defense with great low post defense.

Even if Randle were playing better, it'd still be the right move to restructure.

I been saying the Knicks need to put more run n gun plays in their offense in the 2nd half of each game since D.Rose arrived last season having Quickley & Toppin transition talent.
I wanted to trade all-star Randle's 40+ minute half-court offense during the 2021 offseason when his value could've got the Knicks a decent return.

The thought of having to watch the Randle and Thibs show next season is thoroughly depressing- two people just frozen in a never ending time loop where you just watch them do the same stupid s*** every single game with zero learning or change.

Yea, I have stopped watching games and I am not feeling good about next season. I have no reason to believe anything will change.

Thibs likes vets and short rotations. This team is deep with young talent. That’s not a good match. Lastnight there was finally a young 5 on the court. Deuce, IQ, sims, grimes and Obi.


As soon as deuce subbed out and RJ subbed in, they hit a quick 3. The way this team is constructed, along with thibs rotations. We go as far as Randle and RJ takes us. When they play bad we lose most games. Last two games they played bad. But IQ has looked better and more comfortable out there.

Inconsistent shooters. They run real hot or real cold. We have more scorers than pure shooters.

That NY pressure will do it to you. He needs another start player to play with. Randle can’t be the best player on the team.

RJ on the other hand is built different. He can carry a team because he tends to step up when needed. But regardless we need better talent. RJ has heart and potential to be a star and that’s good. But we either need to add more start talent or trade Randle and build around RJ and the youths.

Randle is paid like a star player and he’s really a 3rd option on a championship team. I used to say 2nd option but I’m having my doubts lately. Not sure if Randle is built for NYC pressure from the media and fans.

EF is paid like a starter and should be a 6 man coming off the bench and firing.

We need Randle in the post but he wants to play like a guard and shoot fadeaway jumpers.

The balance on this team is off. Starters play half court sets. Bench is run and gun. Overall, we have better run and gun players with RJ playing down hill. If it was me I would trade Randle and build a run and gun team. But add a post player or two in case the game has to slow down and we need someone in the post with post move and back to the basket type player. Or coach Randle into being that player. But I’m not sure about him with his mentor gone.
