i might consider giving up Ariza even though he might be an allstar some day for Curry but not Sweetney. Ariza, KT & Nazr may get the deal done right without including TT right?

They have many talented young swingmen. Ariza won't make a difference to them.

Trade TT and Houston for Artest.

Um...yeah. The thing is here, Indiana would have to include like another $28 mil in contracts to make the numbers work.
And plus, TT's trade value is lower than Artests', and Houston is being played 20 mil to sit out right now.

If Houston was healthy it might work. As it stands, to make a big deal we would need to include ariza or sweet. Right now they look like the future. We really need a center more than artest. More likely he goes to sacramento for stoykavich.

As to the cap, other players can be involved to balance them out. What are you a cap-ologist?

No Ariza and Sweetney in any trade for Curry, were filling up one hole in one position and exposing another, IF KT and Nazr cant do it then we'll just have to draft the next big thing, Briggs could probably feed us with some potential centres we could drool on come draft day . Now that the media is reporting that Phoenix might be offering Marion, Kings could try to offload Peja and the Curry might not leave Chicago any time soon, our chances of landing him looks slimmer by the day. I say just sign Haislip for 1.3 million and just soldier on till draft day to fill the 5.

You can't easily just add a couple players when you're trying to cover up 28 mil, that would be like us taking back Croshere, Foster, and 2 or 3 other bad contracts. Not only would we not have enough roster spots for all of them, Indiana wouldn't gut out all of those players for TT or Houston.
And as far as "cap-ologist" goes, sure let's stick with that, it may make me feel important during science class. You don't need to know much about the cap, most knowledgeable basketball fans already know about it. It's what prevents us from seeing impossible trades (or atleast impossible versions of a trade).

I want to point out that like BRIGGS, I was willing to trade Sweets for Curry back then, I didn't jump on no bandwagon

my first post ever on nyk basketball, even before i knew this was a site, was a slew of posts pleading with knicks management to take a young man I watched in person in NJ named Amare stoudemire. Im glad we got channing frye, but in 3-4 years we will look back and say why the F did we not take andrew bynum . we didnt get a boobie prize with frye, that is for darn sure, but i GUARANTEE BYNUM will be a superstar.

I only saw 2 or 3 minutes of Bynum so far this season. However, I have to admit, I was very impressed with how poised he was in his first NBA action. It was his first time playing in the NBA and he wasn't nervous or shaken at all, he even blocked two shots.

A lot of people are giving BRIGGS a hard break because of how well Frye has played so far (although he is starting to foul a lot) but don't sleep on Bynum, this kid looks like he might turn into a beast. Key word there is might, we went with Frye who is more of a proven commodity while Andrew unquestionably has the higher ceiling while also having the higher risk of turning into a bust. If Bynum does fulfill that potential (which BRIGGS is convinced he will and he has good reason to believe that) then you can't blame BRIGGS for saying that we will regret not picking him.

Before Briggs pats himself on the back so heartily for being the genius he is, maybe he should consider his prescient prediction-to-way off base, ridiculously exaggerated and extrapolated predictions ratio. I'm thinking maybe 1/20.

What can Memphis offer?

Nazr and kurt we can live with. I think with that much salary going out, we will have to take on a bad deal. Its our advantage, we can take on contracts others cannot. Eddie and Davis (if his wife does not mind) in return might work. We have to do the bulls a favor.

Waitresses will run in fear when Sweets and Eddy come in to eat!

Now we are trading FOR frank?

I thought KT would work for the BUlls, but he was already gone when Eddies heart thing came about.

But I did nail AD in return and this wifes preference for staying in Chicago!

I don't suggest trade, just make them better. (BASF ad)

Lots of posters I don't see anymore!

i would offer this to the Bulls for Curry[a very fair deal]
