2021-2022 Knicks will be 10-6 (after our first 16 games).
Record might be the same, but I'm sure the starting 5 in 92 had more chemistry than 2021 starting 5. Until we fix that issue, we are a 500 team unfortunately. Todays game will tell us a lot about this starting 5, including Fournier who has been so bad, I dropped him in my fantasy league.
A .500 team?
There are 15 .500 and below teams, and fortunately; these Knicks aren't one of them.
Take care of business vs. both Orlando and Houston and we'll be at 10-6 overall and 4 games above .500 moving forward; which will give NY a top 10 NBA record heading into Chicago (who we're 1-0 against].
NYMentality is the Knicks KellyAnne Conway. Spin it.
We a game over .500. He prancing as we 4 over.
Not a person here wants it to NOT happen. We all want it.
But root in the moment. Team is not succeeding to its potential.
Why not enjoy the accomplishment rather than “Told you so”?
“Thrill of Victory” or the expectation of it?
I think back to the Chaney knicks - they were not good, but had some gamers and always put in the effort.
37 & 45 in 2002-3. That team was carried by Allan Houston. 82 games of grit.
I think they overachieved.
But it's hard to root for a team, and a franchise, that should do better than it does, than it has.
Last year was great. If this year isn't better- or the same- then it's a failure.
