It's not like we're seeing him as a guy to build a team around so much as we're hoping he can contribute with Randle and RJ. Price needs to be way lower. He is a rental and we may find after a year that he doesn't help winning and we don't want him long term

When making a list of reasons why the Cavs have been bad over the last several years, 3 coaches in 3 years and a young, poorly constructed roster among other things come up before we reach Sextons name. Also, if the Knicks pull the trigger on the deal, I highly doubt the Knicks view Sexton as a rental.

i agree there are a lot of reasons why CLevland has sucked but we must also keep in mind that the +/- certainly looks like he's giving up more than he gets. He's shooting 50+% and close to 40% from 3. can't expect huge improvement there. so the issue has to be his D and what do we expect from there? Guy is looking for a max so he had all the incentive in the world to be great at both ends, but looks one dimensional on paper. Offense is tantalizing but I'd be worried.

Didn't really care enough about Cleveland this year outside of the Knicks and Nets games, but I'm assuming Sexton guarded the opposing two, Garland the point and Okoro got whoever the best wing was. Can't read too much into +- when Sexton was playing the most minutes on the poorly constructed roster.

Thats a frickin steal if thats the cost. You have to do it. If it doesn't work out sign and trade him. 24ppg 22 year olds aren't exactly easy to come by. Yeah its a risk but Devin Booker and Trae Young aren't walking through the door

How do we know he will require a max extension? All players and agents say things like this and maybe he just wants out of Cleveland and this is his way to force his hand. Seeing how Rose was his agent and sexton is still CAA, I would think they can work out something that works for both parties without an issue.
