Hoping not. We need Randle back at the sweat house looking at film and putting up jump shots. Don't need that Love/Durant energy rubbing off on him.

Part of Randle's thought process should be "F'em." And then... "Sure, tell me where to report."

I think Randle has the complete toolkit - he just needs to tap into his low post game a little more rather than relying so much about creating from the perimeter. Of course you need a competent PGs to set up the plays - it's a little challenging for Randle to set up down low when Randle was the best PG on the team last season.

Playing with the very best players will help Randle take a step back from hero ball and also help him network with other top stars (to recruit them!).

IMHO, it's much better for Randle to rest well first and then start training for the new season. I know being a member of the USA team is a matter of prestige, but the last thing he needs at the moment is summer in Japan and no time to recharge his batteries.

IQ is of course in a completely different situation and if by some miracle he was called, although of course there is no chance of that happening, it would be a great thing for him.

We know what’s best for Randle? LOL
Perhaps his invited he’d have gone. At his age and surge in status the window likely won’t be there again.
Seems very condensed couple of weeks rather than a whole summer. The Covid thing is baffling and I guess not everyone is Vaccinated.
We did see Randles wife is carrying a child. I’m not sure I’d have my wife vaccinated if pregnant and I sure as hell won’t judge anyone in this predicament. This is a very personal issue for the Randles and I’d have understood if he even did not want to leave his wife for “the summer” at this time and place.
I’m not worried about him playoff with Durant. Moving about as a free agent, being thin skinned, smoking weed, and a penchant to control his own destiny is not a contagious thing. I would have thought the fraternity of top tier players is a good thing to hang with and mostly good can come from it.
Randle on court has been great. He married his sweetheart very young and seems to love being a married man. If it works for him great! Not all young men can be devoted like that. I respected the hell out of Jeter to wait until his playing days were over to get married and start a family. He did what was right for him and he put his career as a priority. Randle I’m sure is not perfect husband but if they can work it as a team to raise a family and he obviously can thrive then good for him!
I think the Olympic experience would be a great thing and an honor. IN covid it might not be as great but thats to be determined.
Randle is thriving during a pandemic and raising a young family. This dude gets my respect!

The team definitely needed rim protector and FIBA rules allow the big to camp in the paint longer than the 3 seconds you are allowed in the NBA. Worried about McGee trying to defend the pick-n-roll out on the perimeter though....

Also, you can still get covid even when vaccinated- a lot less likely to be infected, and more likely to be either asymptomatic or mild, but there's still a chance of testing positive and being infectious to others.

I am going to guess that the Olympic players are in an Orlando-like bubble. So yes, they are testing players and coaches and pretty much everyone that is in the bubble regularly.

R.J. Barrett had an awesome Olympics run and was the best player on his Canadian team.

3 games.
61 points.
14 assists.
13 rebounds.
3 turnovers.
18/32 (FG percentage of .562%).

Believe it or not but he played 10x better than LeBron's 1st ever Olympics run of 2004.

And no I'm not comparing R.J. to Bron I'm just pointing out how he had an awesome Olympics and did everything in his power to advance team Canada.

Former Knicks Sergio Rodriguez and Willy Hernangomez chopping it up for Spain against Luca. Luca and Facundo not showing up for Argentina so far

Well, I've got one more reason to root for team France. Go Fournier! You and Frank need to go for gold!
