trevor ariza basically sved the game for us in the first half and then we get our 1 out of every 3 game performance by TT. But the best thing I saw is we played much better D. we were able to clamp down a bit ibnto the lane and cutoff passing lanes.
I take this as a good game. there are some bad points in terms of 6 out of the 8 games we were down by middle double digits or worse, but in three of them we were able to have third Q rallies.
Now we need to play better from the start of games as teams wont remove their starters for extended periods. I say good comeback to the pre-season and hopefully Tim Thomas Penny and Ariza can contiue playing like that. JC needs to try to use his combo skills a bit more---pas rebound break penetrate instead of flinging.

Knicks has been impressive from the bench so far. A few things I wanted to mention.
I just like to see Ariza hustle and run on the break. He also showed a nice soft J which is going to make him a much better overall player. His enthusiasm reminds me of a young John Starks. Just love it. This kid makes me want to rip my shirt off like Hulk Hogan.
Sweetney is a force off the bench. Posting up, rebounding, going to the free throw line consistently. This guy should start eventually but I like him off the bench for now.
Tim Thomas exploded offensively in the third qtr, that's what I'm expecting of him all season. Dude can score from anywhere when he cares. He no doubt should be our 1st option on the offense, I don't care what anyone else says. Knicks play better when he is on the floor.
Crawford need to settle down and let the game come to him. He is too talented to be making ill-advised shots. He is young so he will learn from the master H20 when he gets back in action.
All in all, I'm glad Knicks end pre-season on a good note with a win against the dreaded Jazz. This is possible the last time we face them in pre-season. Thank god. I'm sick of the Utah connection.
Knicks are happening and have a Unicorn.

TT was great, he let the game come to him tonight, craw got off to a good start and played efficiently to start.. marbs was looking for his teamates and that was good, but one thing I noticed was ariza's play both offensively and defensively especially, he really played well vs two active and good veteran players in harpring and kirelenko...
good win..

I would tell TT he has to take it to the hole a certain # of times a quarter or he's sitting. That's what really got him going tonight. He showed his power before his finesse and that ignited him. He was awesome.

take that back...if Tim will not lead us in scoring because of the glut at SF but if he averages 15-16 you gotta be pretty happy! I think he definitely will average that at least. The scoring will be very balanced. I don't see anyone averaging over 20pts. Marbury or Houston will lead the team in scoring with 18-19pts

I was at the game tonight and was able to get my first live view of the players. Here are my thoughts. Though its no revealation, we need something in the middle. Nazar commits way too many silly fouls. Since I moved down to the good seats I could see that there were several fouls that he got away with that went uncalled. Baker tries hard but didn't really make an impact. Utah got to the hole way to easy and got way too many second shots. Tim Thomas was definitly the player of the game. Matt Harpring just could not check him.
I don't know if the Knicks would've won if Arroyo does not get hurt.
Outside of an errant cross court,(Come on Marbs they teach you that in CYO), pass and an ill advised 3pter Marbury is looking to be that pure pass first point guard.
Arizza is the real deal.

JOrdan didn't have a jump-shot when he first came in the league. Arizza is the man and I like his floor attitude. The kid plays with hunger and anger. That is a deadly combination. I wish that TT will bring that everynight.
