![]() Clearly, Jordan was one of the players lobbying for Atkinson to fired! Also, looks like Vaughn is auditioning the job next year trying to get in good with KD, Kyrie, Jordan and Kleinman.

Yup, pretty much confirms that Kyrie and KD weren't happy with Kenny for not starting their friend. Also their GM wanted to fire him last season but couldn't because they did better than anticipated. Also seems like Kenny had enough of Kyrie and KD pretty early on. Put the three together and his firing is explained |

Pretty much...As soon as I heard Atkinson was available, I was all-in for hiring him to coach the Knicks. The more I thought about though, there are some concerns. I don't watch the nets except for when they play the knicks, but being that he is a D'Antoni disciple, one thing that irked the hell out of me with MDA was the lack adjustments he had during games. He believed in his system so much, he rarely made many in game adjustments. I read that that could be a problem with Atkinson as well. |

If it was Kyrie, its reminiscent of KP. |

As was mentioned earlier, Atkinson doesn't get fired if Kyrie and Durant don't want him to be. |

Miller didnt have to deal with big stars, but I didnt hear complaints from established vets. To the contrary. |

Also, looks like Vaughn is auditioning the job next year trying to get in good with KD, Kyrie, Jordan and Kleinman. If you are giving me a choice between the two, I would probably pick Atkinson based on what he did with the young nets team and the way they developed. After thinking about it, I'm having second thoughts about Atkinson. He is a MDA disciple and one of the many things I didn't like about MDA was the lack of adjustments he made in-game. I don't watch many net games but read that a net insider or reporter mentioned that in-game management was a weakness of Atkinson. Feel like I need more information on Atkinson before I go all in. But, he is intriguing. With that said, can't compare the nets vets to ours. KD and Kyrie are NBA champions and hall of famers who are looking at competing for a 'chip next year. Also, there were reports that Kyrie had issues with Brad Stevens. Those diva's have been there and done that so that may feel that Atkinson ain't the right fit, rightly or wrongly. Only way our vets are getting into the hall of fame is the same way me and you are getting in. |

All of the available candidates (Thibs, Mark, etc) have their own baggage, so I get that. Just a bit of concern about him. With that said, if Rose is committed to legit rebuild, then Atkinson is a no-brainer. Hopefully, Dolan doesn't mettle and go for a quick fix. |
