Someone would have to take a paycut, but I wouldn't be surprised if Durant and Irving went to LA. LeBron and Kyrie are on better terms lately. Would rather see that happen, then having to max out Irving. Too many red flags. We'll see...

Not a good look for them to be speaking on this with the playoffs around the corner

Not a good look walking to center court in preseason, and telling Boston fans you're signing a long term deal. That is if you end up going somewhere else.

If they did the Superfriends thing in LA, that draft pick (if it isnt Zion) and Lonzo Ball, might be available.

Lonzo's father is finally being sidelined. He's moving on to promote his other kid. Ball has excellent court vision, he will keep the ball moving. Good in halfcourt. If we did draft Morant, thats one player I wouldn't mind trying at the 2, filling in at PG.

Smith jr would be the perfect backup for Irving. Help keep Irving's minutes down

No quotes from Kyrie in the article, only quotes from a reporter and what he heard. I dont see this as a bad look at all...Theres a lot of noise out there right now.

Would it surprise you if it were true? Nevermind how it got out.

I was looking for the same thing which is the quote from Kyrie. Didn't see it, but the fact that it's SAS. He has a relationship with the players. If Kyrie didn't give the ok then I doubt Kyrie is cool with this info being made public right now. If Kyrie did give the ok and had these discussions recently. Then allowed SAS to make this public right now. Then it further puts questions to him failing to be a leader. He's about to battle to try and win a chip with his current team. There is no benefit for this to be out right now as its news that could have easily been delivered after the playoffs(for the Celtics) and still have the same effect.

Always weird when Lebron and Wade last met in LA he said "it was going to be here or in the Garden"!
I know there was never a buzz about Lebron coming to ny, and this is not a subject Im debating on, but it was such a bizarre statement.
or was it meant to say "Boston Garden"? Or was Wade thinking of finishing his career here?
Was "the decision" in Stamford CT near Knick practice ever a legit thing? I know he laughed at Walsh in the wheel chair and Dolans bad presentation.

They made a good point on ESPN about potential FAs not really knowing what they will do until the season is over As I said in another thread, Kyrie might end up connecting with the team through a tough playoff run. Especially if they get to the finals. LeBron might make a pitch for LA that changes his mind. Doubt any decisions have been made yet.

Here is what he said. The Hayward situation w/ Brad Stevens really hurt the Celtics chemistry (I didnt realize he coached Hayward). Kyrie really want to play the rest of his days in the garden. He's won a title, he feels like Cle doesnt get the Lebron chip if he didnt play off the wall and wants to be the guy who brings the Knicks BACK. The way it was framed to me was you are always open in life (its stupid not to be) but every sign points to the Knicks. The way it was told to me was he would have to be shown something he didnt see coming to change his mind.

I mean its just people talking. What perked my ears was I know this relationship is legit. Ive seen the picks w/ my friend's son and Kyrie. This isnt a person who advertises that to others, so when he told me this it was organic, not phished.

I think this is the time it can happen.

I will always be the sucker for the guy that actively wants to come to NY. Willing to take than challenge of being the guy to bring NY back on the map.

If he does come I hope he goes about it the right way. And also understands when he has to make the sacrifices (if necessary) to reach the ultimate goal. If he has been able to actively recruit Durant to come with him as it appeared so at the All-star game. Then he will be a hero.

At the same time Durant would want to be known as THE GUY who brought NY back as well. Hopefully they would be willing if they did come to share that.

Would look forward to dealing with that type of "issue" 😀

Also, the KD to the knicks has only heated up since KP was traded..

A noteworthy majority of NBA players polled agree Kevin Durant will soon be a member of the Knicks.

In an extensive survey carried out by The Athletic over the last month, 69 of 109 players canvassed (63.3 percent) believe the Knicks will land free agency’s most coveted prize come July. The Warriors finished a distant second at 20.2 percent with the Nets, Clippers and Thunder also getting votes.

Word on the street is Kyrie is looking to extend "Uncle Drew" brand.

1. Uncle drew on Ice: A musical review with a uncle drew look a like as the star on skates but using cartoon like stuffed animals in costume as his friends. They play street hockey and dance with local ethnic groups. Fun for the whole family!!!
2. Uncle Drew hair salons. Styled as urban barbershops.
3. Uncle Drew on Broadway. A one man review of story telling. Off season of course! Thinking Will Smith in the role.
4. Uncle Drew geriatric sneaker. Nike or Puma signature shoe but with enhanced orthotics!
5. Uncle Drew does the Rockettes.

The stars are lining up here more than when LeBron was a FA which was moreso wishful thinking...If you want another sign, Rod Strickland (Kyries god father) was at a Knick game last week...Cant remember ever seeing Hot Rod at the garden. with that said, as a lifelong Knick fan who goes back to the very early 80s, I expect the worse and hope for the best...We shall see.

is it a must we spend all 70 million on two players??
