Yeah, who needs a DRose with an outside shot? Hey at least we have a guy that runs the Triangle better. I mean.... What's the chances the Triangle won't last anyway.

3 best guys I have seen tatum Smith and Collins so far.

We Know Nitty has talent but his actual GAME is not the same as DSJ. Nitty is not going to win a highlight reel battle in terms of how he gets things done. Nitty is going to have to get it done with smart, team Oriented play and aggressive defense. Kind of like a smaller Kawhi.

A lot of people won't be able to understand that though cause they just go for the highlight players that can score. Some people don't get how a smart PG is sometimes better for a team then a guy that can dunk the ball and score 24 points. Oh and a PG that actually gets along with his teammates is always nice to have.

Yeah, think Cavs and Warriors are thinking of going to that traditional slow down, smart floor general type. Who needs those modern Curry and Irving types.

Knick Fans: yeah so what that we have burns and scars in our head, neck, face and body areas and terminaly sick, at least we have KP for 2 more years. DENIAL is the first step in mourning. Until we all stop buying tickets and paying for cable, Dolan will continue to **** the bed.

Summer League isn't that the league where everyone runs around like chickens with their head cut off. It's like a continuation of combines.

Don't agree with pigeon holding Frank to strictly a triangle fit. Kid could play in any system with the size to play many different positions. Non of us know what Frank will become as he matures.

Rose was an athletic freak who played PG due to his size. Smith seems a lot smoother & more in control. He comes off more like Lowry with hops then Rose with a jumper.

Regardless, the whole point is, you want to watch this kid play. He's special. He puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the other teams guards and will draw fouls. In addition to being able to shoot, he can really pass the ball.

Frank maybe good, but probably a couple years behind in his development. Which is why it's important to establish the Knicks as a destination again. KP will probably grow tired of losing and we have to strike while we have players on their rookie contracts. Because once those are up we lose all flexibility to add talent.

Especially when we are giving 44MM of our cap to a broken down Noah and unproven THJR.

Anthony Randolph who we passed over to draft Gallinari. Summer league 08. The board was pissed.

Frank played against higher level competition than DSjr, so not so sure on that development point. Not really fair to claim we made a mistake when our kid hasn't even suited up yet, and we're reading summer league tea leaves like there is something to actually discern...

The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

They certainly look similar facially.

Mike Breen was really impressed with Smith's size. I think he is a Lillard/Lowry hybrid but comes in more advance at his age than either of them at 19. Who knows if Smith Jr will ever mature and grow into either of those players but the talent is there.

Seem to recall that Bayless had a very good SL that year, too. SL MVP who averaged 29PPG.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Smith Might be the ROY.
Usually it takes how many YEARS to see a player develop? 3-5 to get a solid handle?
Or, a weeks of summer league?

We may regreat passing on DSJ. Regret is something every team can have in hindsight.

Yeah, your right. He is probably not that good. And Frank is the next Gallinari.

Gotta give Frank a shot. truthfully ive seen a lot of rookies have big summer leagues and then do nothing in the NBA. I'm not saying Smith wont be good but its not like Frank is a crap player. he can shoot and play good defense which we really need. I agree he doesn't have the explosiveness Smith does but Smith also does have injury concerns. Lets give Frank a fair shot

I don't think Frank will be bad. Hoping he proves me wrong. Just think many teams made a mistake by passing on this kid as he was #1 in this class, at one point. Think he was a #2 pick that fell into our laps. And we decided to pick a guy to better fit an offense that is no longer here.

But again, I hope I get proved wrong.

Yeah hopefully it works out. I agree Smith is the more dynamic player but I think frank might be better overall in terms of both sides of the ball. I like smith a lot but he seems like a guy who will get injured a lot similar to rose because of the way they play. he already has had one major injury.

Smith would have been a bad pairing with KP and Willy. We needed a PG that will set them up. Dennis is in the Rose/Stevie Franchise mold...Janis would have gone ape ****.
