Stats can be great tool, but you should still look at his game. He is not taking that many shots, as Celtica basketball has been a lot about giving the ball to Thomas and Horford, but if you take a look at his game he is getting smarter, and you will see that when he get to shoot more his numbers will improve, but again he is a force on the defensive end and that should be the main reason to sign him.

Dude, now you're just making up stuff: http://www.espn.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4721090/is-marcus-smart-injury-prone

So when the stats and facts refute what you say just lean on the subjective "eye test." I get it.

I do believe Ainge asked for Willy or a 1st rounder and Mills wisely said "NO"

Yeah, I think a sign and trade deal with Utah is in the cards. Ainge is probably just using the Knicks to try and create the illusion of a bidding war.

Our 2011 pick?? That was 6 years ago...lol. I think you meant our 2021 2nd round pick and we actually don't have that pick, as a matter of fact we owe the 76ers our 2017,2018,2019,2020 and 2021 2nd round picks. We do have a couple of 2nd round pick in 2019 from a trade Phil made a couple of years ago.

If we can do that, I would offer Boston two first round picks, our 2005 and 2008 lottery picks, for Smart.

The Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz have been unable to find traction on a Gordon Hayward sign-and-trade.

Boston needs to clear cap space in order to sign Hayward outright and have been engaged with teams across the NBA on Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart.

There were reports that Crowder could be traded to the Jazz.

Because Hayward already agreed to sign with the Celtics and they could easily fit him into space by trading one of the aforementioned players, Utah would have to send another asset with Hayward to acquire Crowder.

Ainge is like not only are we going to take Hawyard from you. We are gonna need you to give us a draft pick for Crowder so we can free up the cap space in order sign Hayward. Or we are going to trade Crowder to another team for a draft pick and get Hayward.

I thought the Celtics and Hayward were going to do the classy thing and give the Jazz a good deal (Crowder)- can't believe they are going to play hardball. This is why no one wants to deal with Ainge
