Would be a great trade for us

The internet roasted thus idea calling Phil stupid as usual. Thing is its a negotiation. Counter offers are given. Pheonix has players we can use aside from Booker.

Because it is stupid. Devin Booker is not a good basketball player; he makes no positive contribution on the court. So we'd be trading KP for the #4 pick, that's insane. BRIGGS' trade idea was better and that's a terrible trade.

This. If Phil really asked for this then he is even dumber than I thought but what makes it worse is that Phx said no. Now, what would be ingenious on Phx part would be if they know its a good deal for them but think Phil will add more pieces to get it done.

Let's say they tell Phil they would do it if they include Hernangomez or swap Willy for Bender.

I do this trade in a heart beat. I love KP as do everyone here. But his behavior since the season has ended demonstrates to me anyway a guy who has gotten a big head. I am not hankering to trade him but if they can get this kind of package bye KP

Everyone's behavior here turns bad eventually. I wonder why?

KP is a squeaky clean and near perfect prospect for this franchise and already the fans and lunatic gm are entertaining notions of moving on. I'd be speechless if I wasn't so mad at some of the fans who can't see what's really wrong here. It isn't KP!!! I can't even imagine the crap going on at msg behind closed doors and neither can you. Just know it's a circus. That I am certain of and whether you want to admit it or not you are too. We all know it. Dolan and jackson together is An Unholy abomination. This frickin franchise needs an exorcism and an enema, in that order.

Yeah, trade KP. Just great. He's the problem here. Sure he is.

KP is an asset that has a certain with a certain wetware value.

No one is assuming he's a problem - no one.

However, if you are in full-tilt rebuild mode as the Knicks are you take an inventory and valuation of your team and where you want it to go.

KP is not an untouchable. If PHX is offering Booker (an established rising star) AND a great lottery pick the Knicks have just reduced their needs by one.

KP may eventually become a star but he's not yet and may never be. Its just business. It ain't about Phil or the front office or anything else. Its about building a better team.

Yep, preach on, this is the truth. KP is a fine player but players like him aren't the path to success. Can he be a wing man, or 3rd guy? sure, but he needs players to provide him the ball

Take Josh Jackson and a fair deal of what ever other assets are reasonable not to kill it. I like KP wanted to draft him but he is not Jackson can be. This is not the Ny Melos or the Ny KPs-- this is the Knicks. If we traded w the Celtics for 1 I would've taken Jackson and if available at 2 or 3 and we can get that pick-- then go for it-- you'll be glad you did

I disagree because there has never been anyone like KP ever he's a taller Kevin Durant ... he's only 21 years old has endless range ... when KP realizes he can't be stopped and is the focal point of the offense he'll probably become the best player in the NBA ...

Phil was right to ask phx for the moon because he knows KP is going to be unstoppable... he asked for the next Kobe and the number 4 ... he's not going to budge ...

If Boston calls he'll want the # 3, brown, issah, and a future first ...

Is justpie. Ima little shockedthat Jackson isn't valued as pick 1. If there is a true franchise superstar in this draft-- josh Jackson is it.

We both know that's not happening.

At the same time Booker could easily be moved to Orlando for that #6 pick and probably their #25 pick. Sac might be dumb enough to give up #5 and #10 for him.

Knicks could get Issac at 4, Tatum at 6, and either Smith or Frank at 8.

I just don't see Phil moving KP unless it comes with the pick and a already proven star . I think Phil would ask for #3 and IT..

Boston gets the No. 3 pick in Thursday's draft from Philadelphia, plus either a first-rounder in 2018 and 2019. If the Los Angeles Lakers hold a pick between No. 2 and No. 5 next season, Boston gets that one. If not, Philadelphia will send Boston either its own first-rounder in 2019 or Sacramento's first-rounder that year.

This is what Boston got for the #1 pick. We would need something similar to this or better for KP.

Booker gets buckets. But his efficiency is poor and his defense is horrible. 3TOs to his 3ast for a SG. He is extremely young though so he can improve on these areas. But KP is a waaaay harder to find player then Booker.

Your logic is twisted. THEY CALLED PHIL. Why the hell would Phil come down off his asking price? Phil is the one with the sought after player.

Booker is straight trash homey. Of course you do that trade if you are the suns. His best atribute is shooting and he barely shoot 3s better than KP.

Ahh booker is a superstar in the making just like KP + #4 ... there's nothing trashy about Devin booker lol he's only 20 can't even fathom what he's going to be like at 26 .

There is a reason the suns said no I could see them debate a strait trade but plus #4

Frenchy
Booker

Isaac
Willy

I know booker has struggled mightily on defense but he has all the tools to become a at least a average defender. At 20 he's the primary offensive option playing 35 min a game... at 20 he's still a kid and not a full grown man, same can be said about KP guarding 4s he's to slow and has struggled mightily guarding the perimeter.. again you expect this at 21 he to is just a kid .. when KP moves to the 5 he'll be hell on weels for both ends of the court ... but until then we will see a lot of growing pains, like booker it's to be expected there only kids.

That team is scary good

They can keep Isiah Thomas (who I'm not a fan of) and instead include Jaylen Brown, Terry Rozier, that protected Lakers pick next year (that turns into SACs 2019 if it falls outside of 2-5), and a pick swap on the Nets' 2018 pick. Anything less and I tell them to kick rocks. It's not like Danny Ainge wouldn't have enough assets left to make bigger moves if neccessary.

KPs rim protection is up their though defensively already. Marquese Chriss is the prospect to watchout for on that squad. Dude was grabbing boards, knocking down 3s, blocking shots, getting stls, and is an athletic freak.

With Booker even if he doesn't turn into a good defender he has to be a more efficient scorer. That's going to be the staple of his game.

Guys, Booker kind of sucks. His numbers aren't better than KP's except he takes more shots every game. That's the only difference. He doesn't rebound, he doesn't really assist and he turns the ball over just as often, and his defense is atrocious. They've both been in the league 2 seasons and KP is only a year older but he's a much, much better basketball player today than Booker.

I gotta be honest I'm surprised some are swallowing this crap. Even if interest in KP did occur it was most likely coming from the Suns. I mean part of Phil's job is to listen when teams want to talk. It doesn't mean that Phil is intent on trading KP.
