Really a lot of them are deplorable (in saying this I don't for example give Minny a lot of credit for drafting KAT). Yes they'll have more choices than we do but my fingers and toes are crossed that one or more of them will bungle things and chase fool's gold Yep. Hope the teams in front somehow pick Fultz, Ball, Jackson, Fox,, Frank, Monk in front of us. Even better if Lauri, Isaac somehow move up before us. Would be great to see Tatum or Monk there when we pick. 'Knicks focus should be on players that have grown up playing soccer or cricket' - Triplethreat 8/28/2020

Sam Vecenie talks about Frank. He really likes his defense. Said his ceiling is Jrue Holiday and his floor is Pat Beverly (he goes into this in a lot of depth) and points out that Frank maybe more of a secondary ball handler. I thought it was a really good podcast. Vecenie is going to be on the show for ten episodes going over each prospect in the top 10. I didn't get to hear the second half with Gibberman yet.

Think this is the scariest pick for me. Just too much that is unknown. Would be disappointing if Monk or Smith are available and we pick Frank. But again, mostly due to so much about him being unknown. Specially at the PG position. Was watching some of his last game and he seems to have trouble fighting through picks.(We know we are all sensitive to that with our guards) And he did not seem to get separation on offense. He did have good one on one defense. 'Knicks focus should be on players that have grown up playing soccer or cricket' - Triplethreat 8/28/2020

The scary part is how high they were on a similar player with a more mature build--and how wrong they were. I don't think it's possible to go wrong top 3 so the less they have to think the better RIP Crushalot😞

You can improve your shooting but you can't teach speed and floor leadership. Frank N is a 18 year old unknown commodity playing against slower guys. Fox can outright run the show, and can make a difference with his speed on both ends. He's a winner. That matters. I think he can be a player between Wall and Rondo and that's worth a 7 pick

I think he can be a player between Wall and Rondo and that's worth a 7 pick I think most people agree. The problem is that it probably worth more than the 7 pick. 🦊 is probably going top 5 as of now. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

Looking at the history of the #7 pick, I'll take it. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Just watching him his shot just needs work with a Pro Shooting coach to his mechanics refined. I like everything else about Fox. I think Fox is gonna end up being a decent shooter once he gets in the NBA and gets with a shooting coach. His shot isn't bad at all and i just don't think he put enough into his shooting with Kentucky cause it wasn't needed as much as it will be in the NBA. |

I see him getting a ton of steals and deflections in his game footage. I also see him creating seperation just fine. However he's long, so he hasnt had to work to get around guys. He can pass over them, or around them. That is the advantage of a long player.BRIGGS wrote:Beyond a high loose dribble--look at how much trouble Frank N has with separation. Hes always contested and think about the level of an NBA athlete vs what hes playing now. Fox separates on demand. Exactly, we don't have even close to all the ways to scout a player that these teams and their scouts do. All we have to go off of is the players game tape and whatever highlight videos we watch on the internet but so much of who these teams draft high goes into the interviews and putting these kids on a white board to get a better idea of their basketball IQ's. |

Its about adding a young prospect every year. FrankN is just a young player with great upside. You develop them. You build them. Hopefully at some point you have something. With a guy like Frank it could be a PG or SG who knows... I have read and seen he's unselfish to a fault, but that mindset of passing and defense first is certainly what this FO is looking for.BRIGGS wrote:Were already been hot on a "tall" lead pg who played good D yet couldn't shoot wellin Jerian Grant and I believe they had him ranked in the lottery. That was a good read on him and makes me like him with our pick even more than i already did. |
