The vets were very resistant but CLee is a pro and he eventually did his job and bought into what the coach wanted. Minus Melo, Rose and BJ we saw the kids actually buying in and giving Max Effort. They didn't have any agendas. It was all about team.

That's okay because this time he knows Rose is only an attack guard not a point guard. Plus, Phil will pull on his leg and make him do some squats to make sure those balky knees are not acting up.

But it's simple math now - no free agent will come to the Knicks and no team will make Rose a big offer other than the Knicks. Desperation on both sides. Phil will need another scorer capable of dropping 20ppg with Melo gone. Rose is coming back.

I would be okay with Rose coming off the bench for another team at >$5m. I think the Knicks will still get FAs to come here because the Knicks continue to overpay players.

I think eventually maybe. But not this off season. I predict Phil strikes out and eventually signs Rose to a big one and one deal with either a team or player option. Read his comments about Rose today. He said he wasn't great at setting up the offense but was an "unparalleled" scorer. Just my prediction, but I think he's back.

You mean basically push the money ahead by one more offseason? That's not the worse plan, especially if the plan is to tank and then look to add a FA in the 2018-2019 season. Like a high paying one and done.

Is there something there that you think isn't accurate? I just listened to Phil for 50 minutes. Nothing he said has given me anymore confidence that he is going to be a better executive. Someone, Bobby Marks?, said several months ago that based on his experience he would expect that KP's agent would have already contacted the KNicks about concerns.

Now that the only reason, most on here, keep using to defend Phil, has shown he is not happy with Phil, the logic is to stay with the same stubborn view that Phil is headed in the right direction. Because when the "Future of the Franchise" does these type of things, its a good indication the person in command has control and is headed in the right direction?

Yes, the Garden is a ****ed up place. I got nothing. I actually agree with you - we destroy everything good. I have to think it's Dolan and his yes men. Dolan has security dudes on staff who embarrassed Charles Oakley. This is karma.

I do not think Phil is a bad person but I am being honest when I say he's done a **** job as president. Obviously he was a great coach. He's not coaching here. And a big part of the problem is the weird coaching chain of command. Rambis's role is a problem. Phil making Hornacek run the triangle, a system Hornacek does not know, is a problem. Who's the coach? Rambis? Phil? Hornacek? I guarantee this situation is why Rose went AWOL and why CLee posted "Dumb and Dumber" and why Melo lost his **** at halftime in Brooklyn and why KP said they're a mess from top to bottom. I've been saying this all year. Phil has created a mess. Chain of command from the coaching staff. No one respects Hornacek except the guys on short contracts who are playing for their lives.

Couldnt agree more...despite phils inexperience in the front office, the one thing we thought we could count on was his ability to bring a sense of professionalism and to clean up the PR mess left behind by our previous front office peeps. Instead, phil has made this place just as toxic....
