Who gives a F? Seriously?
For at least 2 years, fans couldn't wait to be rid of his contract. Now this empty, what, gesture? And it's even worth discussing? He was a great player for the Knicks for 1.5 years and dead weight for 3.5. Why does some BS 1 day contract make either him or the organization "classy"?
Let him go out a Heat.

I thought I heard about that. Definitely puts an asterisk on "retirement". I can see the "Coming Home" video for him already, taking off his the New York jersey putting Jerusalem on his chest to a mighty shofar blast...

I guess this was just a way to get a lot of NYC press before he moves to Israel... pandering to all the Knicks fans there! Haha

Weird, he wanted to retire a Sun is what it looks like but they wouldn't take him back. He had one very good year here, his first, strange he retires here after all his years with the Suns.
Perhaps they wouldn't sign him for a season to retire but would have done the quick contract just to retire like here? Maybe he is pissed...

Did Suns not offer to "Retire" as a player? Or did they flat out reject it?

How does he retire here? His last game was in Miami.
Will he play one more game in a Knicks uni?
Will there be an asterix on his player stats that says, "signed one day contract with NYK in the middle of July?"
Gimme a break. If they wanted him to go out a knick, he should at least play 5 minutes in the uniform.
