I've always liked Birch. Followed him closely when he was in the DL. Nice pickup for team Canada. Take a look at these highlights from this season -- man, he looks even more spry and athletic than I remember. Also looks like he's worked on his offensive skills -- some nice quick moves in the post and he can drill a mid-range J if left open. Then there's the stellar defense he provides... Up to me, this guy would very much be in the conversation for a roster spot next season. Complements guy's like Willy H. and KP beautifully. Tell me this guy wouldn't be an ideal role player next to these two.. And he'd come for the minimum. Still young too -- only 23 years old.

He looks great. He was impressive in the d league as well. Is he committed to a euro team next year?

It was reported that he is playing for team canada because he is insured and has a commitment from an nba team. The two most frequently mentioned teams are the Knicks and Nets.
