This is a league of results. The other guys have accomplished more as head coach's than Rambis so we want them. Fact is, the Triangle will run and Rambis is trusted by Phil.

Nobody has accomplished more than phil, so this would be my vote of faith on the system. So I am fine with Rambis. This is our culture and if we hire from within, thats how the great franchise sometimes work. Its not definitive, its just my opinion.

I've said this on here before, if Rambis never had his head coaching stint with Minnesota fans wouldn't be as much against him getting the Knicks job as they are now. I also wanted and want someone else but i do think with the right talent and with that talent having all their confidence in the system that Rambis can win but i'll still be a very nervous man if he does get the job and hopefully he'll be able to change the opinion of many Knicks fans cause he's gonna be catching a whole lot of shyt from fans and media until he does.......but he'll catch all that shyt from the New York media either way because that's what they do best.

I do think a Blatt or Walton might add a few more wins on top but who's to really say with 100% surety? I'm gonna trust Phil on this as the coaching authority. Whatever he ends up doing I trust he will put a ton of thought into it. It's not the end of the world if Phil did in fact stick with Rambis. Just as it's not assured that a Blatt or Luke would transform this team without an influx of talent. The Talent is the MOST important area of Improvement needed. If they can't add a lot of new talent then you hope your coach is good at developing players. Some may disagree but Rambis has for the most part been a developmental coach. He was the one working with Big Men like Bynum, KP and RoLo. Maybe Phil feels this is more of what we need right now. We'll see.

Walton is not out of the realm of possibility, and perhaps Phil sees Rambis as a stop gap kind of guy at the very worst.
What we don't know is what others think of Rambis. Only thing we get from media is his conflict with Aflalo which they blow up as a "communications problem". Rambis might be smug, which Might be defined as "being rigid when things are not going well" vs. being a disciplinarian which is "Rigid because that whats successful people do"! Pop is a smug arrogant at times SOB even on TV but he gets a pass because he is successful.

I'd be concerned if we can't recruit because Rambis is not respected in the league by others. Does Phil actually hire a guy that would be a detriment to acquiring talent? That does not sound reasonable.

IN a world where coach's come and go and a players contract is not based on the employment of the coach, I think players are not as sensitive as one might think they are.

I think the fact that Rambis hasn't been hired and no interviews have occurred says Phil is waiting for the guy he wants to be done in the playoffs (Walton).

The Lakers firing Scott now might mean they want to compete for him as well. We'll have to wait and see.
