You got any facts to debunk me?

Fact #1, Melo has zero Finals appearances, let alone rings.

Fact #2, Melo has zero MVPs, zero ALL NBA FIRST TEAMS, and zero ALL NBA DEFENSIVE FIRST TEAMS

Fact #3, Melo has a losing record as a Knick and hasn't made the postseason in 3 seasons. They have a 7-14 postseason record with Melo wearing a Knicks jersey, and they only won 1 playoff round the 5+ seasons he's been here.

Fact #1 Chuck over 150k posts on a fan forum board, Melo over 150 million in the bank.
Fact #2 Melo future NBA Hall of Famer, Chuck future forum troll hall of famer.
Fact #3 Melo resides in Penthouse, Chuck resides in Mom's basement.
Fact #4 Chuck was hoping to run away with Lin before Melo broke his heart and ran him out of town.
Fact #5 Chuck ruining this fan site by trying to change every thread into a fanatical Melo rant.

We can see why you hate him.

Try to debunk that?

KP has been groomed to say the right thing from the very beginning. His brothers are his handlers. The right thing to say right now is whatever promotes team unity, regardless of how accurate or pertinent. Obviously the organization has major issues and growing pains. I think what he is saying is just right given the circumstances and I think Melo especially benefits from these kinds of statements, however true or valid they may -- or may not be. I think Melo is grateful that KP is helping him and the Knicks. KP is already a pro's pro.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

They asked him what were the factors that allowed him to play so well and adjust so quickly to NBA basketball. He said two things... 1) His family and their support. 2) Carmelo Anthony.

LMAO

I kid you not. While you think this may brought me great pleasure it really didn't. Only cracked me up. But it was telling as we the fans are so in the know about the toxic environment, the hands on his hips, the throwing his teammates under bus... yet there is the most important piece of our franchise on national TV and what does he say?

Pretty funny huh? I may youtube it from my DVR recording and post in every one of Guns, VMart and Chuck's posts

Been saying this awhile now,If you trade Melo, then how does KP's developing bode well under that? Just by doing that we risk hurting the cornerstone player that we around. It puts us closer to being in the same boat as Philly if you ask me.

That is 100% correct. Right now KP is being groomed the right way.

This. Also, I think the firing of Fisher had a negative impact on KP. I think the impact of Melo leaving would be much worse for his development.

I agree with you having a veteran who is good helps youth maturation. Melo is doing a good job in that regard. But let's not make it out that just because Melo is here that KP is doing what he is. He might have been more explorative if Melo had not been here. He probably develops more go to moves and attacks the basket more knowing it's his team. Keven Durant comes to mind he had a green light on everything his rookie year and became a great player same with Lebron, Melo too. What mentor did Ewing have? Or Michael Jordan. Can you guys recall who mentored Dirk. That's one of the most overrated aspects of development.

Who is Karl Anthony-Towns developing under?

prior to melo, we made the playoffs 1 time in 11 seasons, and got swept, we avg 30 wins and were a lottery team.

how much is one player suppose to help, is that one player suppose to turn the franchise into a contender by himself..

Until he injured his knee it was well documented that KG was mentoring Towns. KG still was able to play almost 1/2 the season. Melo and KP have been talking about their bond since the summer. Not sure why it is disputed or minimized. Sasha also has been credited with helping KP. The Knicks are doing the right thing by KP.

kidding aside ... melo has handled himself well this year. He finally changed the way he plays and has become less selfish and stupid. He has said the right things and has been a good role model for KP. I think that now that he was forced into being DadMelo he was forced into acting like a dad.

In my opinion, the best part about the relationship is that the benefit is mutual. KP has Melo to take all the pressure away from him, to help groom him into what it takes to be the #1 option on the team, and to give him his undivided support when things are not going well for him while in turn KP's great personality, character, and hardworking attitude, helps mold Melo into much more of a team player.

not sure what you are saying here.

he is playing the smartest ball of his career but this is no way near his best season. His shooting % is just not good enough. Maybe its because he is being asked to facilitate and play defense and that is taking its toll. Also, melo shoots a way higher percentage when assisted and there is nobody on the team who can create looks for him.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

He is shooting better this month and seemed to have found his shot back when he rolled his ankle and then re-injured himself playing a ton of minutes when he got back on the court. Hopefully he just needed to overcome some of the effects of surgery.

A tough season for Anthony in that he started slow because he was recovering from knee surgery (Which should have taken place months before it actually did, as I always point out) and then, when he was starting to play better, he stepped on the ref.

Both injuries affected his shooting during the season and have to be considered when evaluating him this year- no doubt about it.

Almost all of them are from farmers background.
If Melo will not be around KP will say same about Robin or AA.
His strong site is understanding of the value of experience and that leadership cannot be developed overnight or assigned.
The leadership grows organically.
He is learning from Melo on what NBA star/leader should be and what he should not.
One day he will be in Melo shoes. Most likely 2-3 years from now.

Farmer's Background!!! Put the egg in the basket KP! His family are all athletes.
Anyway that 2-3 year span works perfectly with Melo's contract. Why do we always blame our best, in NY?

The Feed2all feed I was watching froze after he said something about benefiting from his 2 years in the Spanish league and I did not see the need to refresh it to see the end of the interview.

So this was only a rhetorical question?? I never answer such questions...much too manipulative, IMO.

More suited for a speech or sermon, than a thread, I would think.

The best answer would have been Fisher and Sasha...now that would have turned some heads.

As long as he doesn't give credit to a Supreme Being for his success after every good game he has, I'm not that concerned about his answers.

He seems to be well schooled as far as interviews...it will be interesting to see if any interviewers can get him to say something bulletin board worthy during his career. He's very Jeter-like or David Wright-like in how he fields questions.

You have to understand the mentality.
I grow up in Latvia and was leaving among Latvian nationals 33 years.
They are very calm people and not emotional at all.
It is all slow out there. The nature is calm. All is flat.
The weather is almost same most of the year - 255 days of rain (more drizzle than rain which can go for weeks).
Long nights in the winter and long days in the summer.
Nothing going on socially most of the time.
The education, especially non-technical is stellar.
Arts are blossoming - paintings, poetry, music, crafts are all over.
Violence seems odd and remote.
People are not intruding in each other space physically and mentally. Its considered a bad taste.
What you see from Kristaph looks completely ordinary and normal to me.

I didn't know you grew up there- very cool! Sounds like I would like Latvia.
