Yes, ain't that the truth.

again, this is far from the best team that he has played with.

I didn't follow him in Denver much but I think since he has been a Knick this and the 54 win team are the two best he has played on.

and the point is that this is a new melo, not the same melo that just has a better cast which is of course beyond silly.

i think it is a new team, a new coaching staff, a new front office, a new philosophy. I think that to suggest that there aren't a lot of variables in play would be wrong. DadMelo isn't winning without decent teammates. What I found most impressive last night was that when he was angry and frustrated he didnt try to take things into his own hands and force things. To not go back to what you relied on when things are really tough shows true change, trust, and belief in his teammates.

a bunch of "new" things of course but melo's new mindset and attitude shift is a biggie.

Does the mindset and attitude shift change happen if there aren't all these "new" things to make those things happen?

Please tell me who Melo was passing to and then walking back up court confidently before the shot was even let go? Who is Melo passing cross court darts to with any trust?

Is "Phil" and "KP" and "Rolo" and "DWill" and "LT" just ancillary parts that are comparable to anything "else" he's played with?

And again, you got your head handed to you for trying to pathetically maintain this in another thread. Please list off the great players that approximate the combination of youth, role players, bench, KP, Rolo, and even the PG play of the Jose/Grant/Galloway.

No one is saying Melo is the same old Melo. The point is the whole franchise has changed for the better.

you got your azzhole detroyed in that thread ... thanks again for that.

the other teams did not have anyone 7 foot 3 ... I'll give you that. Happy?

He played on a number of top contending teams. This team is a 35-40 win team in a weak division. He played on a number of 50 win teams.

Keep trying though ... I love rolo too but lets not go crazy here. This team ain't that good but he makes them much better.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Carmelo can and will be even better; check out the article below. I know many of you think I am clueless, but why is it that many who happen to know the game see it in the same prisms as me? How long have I been advocating for Gallo to replace Calderon? How long have I been asking for Carmelo to be the Point Forward? How long have I been asking for Williams and KO to receive more consistent minutes? I am not as impatient as many of you think; I am just forward thinking and practical. We might not need to do a trade if we chose to make the simplest of changes; I.e.: move Calderon to the bench as our back up SG; and install Gallo to start as PG.

"Langston Galloway and Jerian Grant are better creators, but Anthony plays with them far less often than he does with the starters. Grant is by far the most dynamic of the group and Anthony has shared the floor with him for only 195 minutes all season."

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)
