God forbid he could get injured today or tomorrow and be out for the season. This journey is a marathon so enjoy the moment. /take a look at Houston. Players are sick and tired of Harden hoging the ball. Melo has been in the league for a long time. KP is just starting his career. It seems none of you are satisfied. Now we start to win and you are still not satisfied. Give KP a chance to gro. Look what happened to Linsanity. Melo and KP need each other to win. It is enough pressure with the bashing. If KY goes down then what happen.
What are you talking about?
I'm happy with the way things are going.
You are?
We are 8-6, sharing the ball much better. KP is an upcoming star. Melo playing defense and dishing it.
Great team effort.
Yeah
+1 agreed.
No matter how things get better, their is a contingent of idiots who will look for anything but Melo as a necessary cause for happiness. Am I incredibly happy about Zingis?, you betcha. But I've read on this board for years about how if Melo ever improved at facilitating, they'd turn in their Hater card. Well well well, guess who's second (just barely) on the entire team in assists? Per 100 possessions, who's the third best facilitator on this team?
'Bout time. Only took him 5 seasons.
Yes, tell us more about all those tremendous assets that we traded away for this fat, selfish YouTubeMelo (hey, remember that thread?) who could have been doing all this great facilitating 4 years ago if he hadn't FORCED HIS DOUCHEBAG SELF ON THIS GREAT FRANCHISE!
Because everyone can plainly see, 5 years later, that Moz >= Zingis, Gallo > Anyone on the squad now, Wilson > Affalo. Why, we'd have several chips by now, just like...Denver...or Utah...has.. with that draft pick that we were raped out of...
Hey, you said it. I was just stating facts.
It's great that he's finally facilitating in year 5 in a Knicks uni. I applaud him for that.
The 2011-2012 season says hello.
What he do that season? Was that the Linsanity year, when Melo called the contract "ridiculous" and they got swept under the rug by the Miami Heat in the 1st round?
He had a higher assist total than he did this year.
If you have data suggesting his passed significantly less in general despite the higher assist, share it. Otherwise you run the risk of well, you know...
Cool. How'd he do against the Heat in the 1st round?
The only relative response (other than to remark on its desperation) is we'll have to wait until a first round PS match-up next spring.
What happened is as opposed to simply crediting Melo for what YOU observed as a willingness to facilitate, you choose to make it a backhanded compliment. What you didn't anticipate was his willingness to facilitate is no different than it's ever really been as a Knicks, and statistically speaking was even better during the 5 years period you incorrectly cited.
Meaning you unwittingly acknowledged you've been perfectly fine with his facilitation as you are now all along, you just convinced yourself otherwise, because, you know.
And no attempt at clever retort or insulting me will change that, although you'll certainly try.
Ok. He's a great facilitator.
Wait a second...

Thought you had me there.
3.6 in a strike shortened season is higher than 3.3 this season, I guess....
You tried. A for effort.
