Agreed.
And Galloway has really impressed me this season so far.
I thought he might take a step or two back with fewer opportunities. But he's really taken advantage of limited opportunities. He clearly put in a ton of work over the summer.
By season progress do you guys mean game 3? Langston played 28 minutes and Jose played 21 against Wash, and Langston finshed. The Jose trade is really looking like Phil's one big snowjob
I think the minutes will shift even more with Galloway and Grant playing more like 28-30 minutes every night and Calderon down to 15 or so. It's not a huge shift from where it is now, but I think we'll continue to see G & G play more and more and Calderon play less and less.
Calderon's a good dude and hopefully a leader of sorts... but his defense hasn't just been bad, he's clearly incapable of moving his feet quickly enough to do it. It's not a question of him being bad at this point - he's just physically unable to do it. Not his fault, because the effort is there, but father time is a cruel mofo.
this... I can see him taking a Brewer type role. He gets the first 7-8 minutes of the half, plays his 15ish a game and Fisher finishes the game based on matchups.
Jose's biggest problem is everything Langston does screams more minutes. He scores, he's our best defender and he plays the hardest. Galloway is a 30mpg guard, hands down. AA should take Jose and Sasha's minutes.
