Simple - who do you think the Knicks draft tonight.
Okafor falls to us, Phil does a rain dance in Central Park.
Russell falls to us, Phil does a rain dance on top of MSG.
draft Justice Winslow at 4
draft Kristaps Porzingis at 4
draft Emmanuel Mudiay at 4
draft Mario Hezonja at 4
draft Willie Cauley Stein at 4 (or maybe trade down)
trade down to select Trey Lyles
trade down to select Frank Kaminsky (or maybe take him at 4)
another trade we haven't heard about

That's a trade I would seriously consider... now, would Charlotte give up Batum after just acquiring him?

Does Jordan covet Mudiay? With Kemba in the fold?

edit: and of course, I would prefer to take WCS at 9. I love Batum though.

Alright, I'm taking the train to watch the draft at my friend's house.

I hope the Knicks just take Mudiay, honestly.

If they could do that trade with Charlotte to get Batum and pick 9, I'd be interested in that. I think Batum would be an Odom type for the Knicks and a perfect complement to Melo. Pick 9 you go after WCS, Kaminsky, Lyles, Looney, maybe Cameron Payne.

I have a feeling Phil Jackson is keeping the pick, thus the rumors of "trading down" are leaking out

KP would make sense if that is what all the smoke screen is for who has rumors of going #3

I honestly would be happy with KP or Mudiay at #4

Would prefer blowing up this team and hopeful Houston can not attract any FA's and then having them give us a bundle for CA, sometime before the season starts
CA gets a lot more money if this happens with no STATES tax and going to the playoffs and possible even Western COnference FInals, and trade kicker of 15%

I DO NOT BELIEVE OK4 will fall to us, if we want him, we would have to trade for him, needing a future 1st rounder or us taking a bad contract, maybe even Pekovic for KAT and swap of KP

Since we cannot trade our pick but we can trade the rights of the player once we draft him, we are leaking this rumors of constantly moving down for a reason, especially for Trey Lylez
Whether it is for attempting to acquire another mid 1st rounder and/or another player or future draft pick

I think we invitted a bunch of ranges from 10-40 for a reason, with over 50 workouts of different players
Then again Zen master does so many jedi mind tricks, who knows lets just see vs guesssing in a couple hours, we shall KNOW

I like Mudiay, I do not think he is far apart from Russell in terms of "potential and value"
Russell getting hyped up from Curry but would rather try to get Tyler Harvey in the mid/later 2nd rounder as I do agree that there is a BUST POTENTIAL in him with his premodnna arrogance while lacking physical abilities outside of size/length, mix that in with us likely being horrible with him/media critisism and needing to cater to CA, party life/maturity issues with Russell in NYC, I rather not
While Mudiay changed the perception the team had on him

I actually think Mudiay is a bit safer and higher potential than Russell because he could likely defend at a high level and has good work ethic and this talk about Russell being the better PG while Mudiay is by far the closer PG with a LEGIT NBA body and that doubts will only make him work harder
His team mates didn't like him when he went there and they ALL changed the perception of him and vouched for him, which is very hard to do for a player and stuck with it in China, not trying to take over the game but was a willing passer and looking to create for team mates not take over and create stats for himself
So he is a bit more mature and went through some tough times in China

Do to the short schedule and not complaining on the bench, he stuck with it, and I give him props for that vs a premodnna
Yes, you heard it first, I prefer Mudiay than Russell

Problem is the I think he will also need to go through growing pains in order to develop but I think he will get there...

Who do you prefer?
Grant or Payne?

While Delon Wright is a BIG PG that PHil Jackson generally likes, though we do not have a Kobe/Jordan/Shaq/Gasol

I wouldn't mind that deal for Battum and swap though I do not know for sure, if he just had a bad year or if it was fully his wrist injury that he IS NOT doing surgery for...
He had a HORRIBLE year and he is the X factor with Wesley Matthews for the POrtland Squad

Giannes and Battum both resemble Scotty Pippen and maybe Magic Johnson to me, outside of Lebron James, after that only DEFENSIVE F's such as Jae Crowder/Aminu and Wesley Johnson *not sure what these guys would cost with the rise of the cap next year* which have less upside but could be availalble

Then there are Wesley Matthews, Danny Green, DeMaRRe Carroll, probably about 12m

I think that Kemba is best suited to be a bench player in the same mold as an Isiah Thomas. Smaller guys like that don't have very long shelf lives and can be readily contained because of their diminutive stature, which makes them better suited to being 2nd unit sparkplugs.

Mudiay routinely gets a bad rap on this board but that's because we're considering his fit in the triangle. Without that to consider he is very much a star prospect and I think most teams consider him to be the 4th or 5th best player in the draft. So I could definitely see the Hornets coming proper with a proposal.....and I suspect that them projecting Kaminsky with the pick is a sign that they are trying to trade up for him.

I'd hate to take Kaminsky so high but he's definitely the guy I want if we trade down. I wonder if we could take the BPA at 9 and then trade down once more for Kaminsky?

Funny how Jordan was willing to demand over 30m a year from Chicago 20years ago while Pippen made about 1m a year so JOrdan could stay with a roster and with Pippen
Now as the dollar is worth less and he is a owner, he is very cheap with his money, he ain't paying Kemba Walker 12m a year to sit on a bench, he would rather trade him to save money if he got a better PG despite one of the smaller PG's that could get a triple double besides CP3, think he is better than Bledsoe on OFFENSE at least

Bledsoe was not a good defender this year after he got a big conract, one of the reasons they payed him the max was because of his "DEFENSE abilities possibliy lockdown and versatile and potential on offense"

As Jordan has a piece of the world, selling new NBA sneakers for over $270 each and tax, along with old Jordans being bought for enough to be buy some 2nd hand cars, WE TALKING ABOUT SNEAKERS that are 1000% profit all made from China, though higher quality and are hot but still...

He doesn't even need to use money on advertisements, as well, but I like how they replayed the I wanna be like Mike commericial, my younger years were brought back until i realized my hero was a douche
