Is this at all possible - where are those stats from?

I like Koufas but those are nice stats and I don't think they belong to Koufas

They do. He's just never in his 7 year career played serious minutes

1800+ minutes in Denver one year is serious minutes for a top back up/ rotation player. That year he started every game but 1. Most thought he was breaking out. If he could get back to his Denver numbers I'd say sign him and Ajinca and run a platoon system like the old Bulls did or like Dallas did with Heywood/Tyson. His Memphis numbers say sign Cole to another minimum deal and work on his conditioning.

Although, it is good to know you have someone who can play 1500-1800 minutes a year. I think the ideal would be around 2200+ for a top rotational center.

Good point. I think Koufus will be a good bargain signing.

koufas is an OK player...i think he's probably suited best as a back up though. he has a nice post game, pick and pop and adequate defense...but i see him as an average player at best. i think if he were to play starters minutes over a full season his warts would be exposed. i wouldnt go by PER36 numbers
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

He played 22 mpg for a full season and produced at the same rate. I think people here are talking about increasing that to maybe 28 mpg.

ehhh. again, i think hes an average player at best. theres nothing that jumps out and says "WERE CONTENDER NOW WITH KOUFAS". LOL...he's OKKKKK. im just not jumping up and down at that signing. but if you want to add a stop gap player and add SUPERSTARS around him...then fine (shrugs shoulders).

see my expectations are high. lol. towns/okafor/djordan/monroe/kanter...but then koufas. lol. hes not a bad player at all. but id only be happy if we used the extra money to add solid depth around him

We're not even a contender now if we add Lebron and if Melo comes back healthy. There's still that problem known as roster spots 3 to 15. IMO the problem with your interpretation is your expectations.

lol @ the term "problem"

all im saying is overall i think hes an average player...can i go by the eye test? ive seen him play since he was a young lad at ohio state...ive followed his career at denver and memphis. hes not a bad player at all. he has a lot of decent skills and not so decent skills. i think hes an average player - i think thats a fair assessment

in terms of expectations, after this awful season, id be happy with 45 wins but expect around 40 wins (with a healthy melo and some new talent). what i meant is my expectations were high interms of getting a HIGH quality big man...towns/okafor/DJordan/monroe/kanter...koufas would be WAY beliow my high expectations for landing a big man this off season. however i could live with signing him if we address other areas and add depth

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I personally see him around 25 minutes a game

I disagree Lebron makes you an instant contender. All of a sudden Hardaway will turn into a 42% 3pt shooter and adequate defender. I bet even Bargs would become a net positive player. Well, nahh but I be he'll break even.

Carroll will cost 12-13mm
Koufus6-7mm
Schveyd 5-6 mm

I'd rather lose more games..

By the way who do u think is coming here? K Leonard? Maybe lbj?

Who we sign really comes down to our draft selection. But I like koufos and Carroll a lot. I think we should get Monroe unless we draft okafor. You seem to like to buy high on guys. Carroll is at an all time high right now. Koufos played well last game too. But our free agency should be better than what you mentioned.

I think Carroll is the best player we can get in free agency. He's a very good player and is certainly a main cog in a 63 win team that has a great chance to win the title

I agree. I would love to have him. I guess whether or not we can get someone better all depends on how good you think Carroll is.

Lebron's presence adds 40 wins?
