We've had a lot of complete no show players in the playoffs though

So would I.
I know Melo talked about possibly joining Dallas, and that was after Tyson was traded there. I've never seen sources that they had a problem.

OK but the point was that this has been a terrible organization that brings out the worst in most players

And Melo did not realize that MDA had issues with him. Its not like the guy picks up on queue's.

Chandler, who has addressed the lack of ball movement on several occasions this season, did not mention Anthony by name either on Saturday or Sunday. But Chandler, who was badly outplayed by Pacers center Roy Hibbert in Game 3, seemed to be referring to his All-Star teammate when he said on Sunday that there were moments when “you want to take over the game or you want to make a big shot where you (should) stick to the game plan. A good team wins basketball games. Unless you’re a great, great, great, great individual…and we only have a few of those come through.”

Who do you think that he was talking about?

C'mon! Of course Tyson hated playing with Melo. He is a team player and Melo is frustrating to play with if you are a team player.

Mitch Lawrence bucking shots at Tyson in the 2013 series re: Hibbert going ham on him in the playoffs.

Tyson Chandler should know better to call out Carmelo Anthony as struggling Knicks prepare for Game 4 vs. Pacers

Chandler might have come in from Dallas wearing a championship ring and bringing instant credibility to a franchise that has done nothing of consequence since way back in 2000. But he hasn’t exactly built up any equity with his disappointing playoff efforts, both last spring and in the first nine postseason games of this run, to now start up with the team’s ranking star.

Another one who's name was dragged through the mud and like Tyson has the respects of his current teammates.

The way I have always seen it is Tyson was the only one left who knew what it took to contend for a championship and he didn't agree with how Melo went about his business as the teams supposed star player. Melo proved Thson right last year and this year as well.

The Tyson trade was rushed because in order to resign Melo. They should've got a lot more back the. They did. Imagine what TYSON wouldve fetched at the deadline from Cleveland? We know at least 2
1st rd picks.

Question is who's to blame Dolan or Phil? I'm going to blame Dolan as Phil was very lukewarm on keeping Melo

I am surprised Woodson came out and endorsed Tyson. Seems like Tyson was dragging Woodson's name through the mud also. And there were photos and reports of Tyson chatting daily with Steve Mills about the team and Woodson. Also, Phil came in planning on moving the guy and made statements that implied Tyson was a part of the problem. I still feel the same way. Woodson handled the questions in a classy manner. Maybe he wasn't as bothered by Tyson's betrayal as I was.

He is just using it to jab hard at phil. He knows that Tyson hated that he enabled Carmelo and JR.

Yo, good question... what were the usage ratings or whatever advanced stat would best show which Knicks were abusing possession in that game? Not being facetious!

I was just trying to find that quote that explains the alleged beef. But:

Maybe I like NBA because it's sorta WWF with the story lines, haha... Chandler leave Dallas and turns heel in the Eastern Conference! Melo is the heel to Lin the baby face... oh god.

There aren't any. TripleThreat was posting that Zach Lowe wrote there was a beef between the two. I researched it because I had never heard anything about it and I try to read anything I can about the Knicks. Lowe did cite a Broussard story where Broussard had an 'nba source' say that CAA guys got better treatment in the locker room and that it created some animosity between CAA guys and non CAA guys. That 'nba source' story of Broussard's got turned into Zach Lowe saying there was beef between Melo and Tyson by TT.

People thought Roy Hibbert was the best center in the NBA after what he did to Tyson Chandler.

Close thread.

Roy Hibbert was the best center in the NBA that season. By far. He had some weird depression issues or something and then this season was lost because of all their injuries (though they're still making the playoffs!) - but the guy is still a beast.

Wasn't it attributed at least in part to Paul George being with his girl?

Maybe if the former 2nd overall pick developed his game then he could have have been skilled or capable of helping offensively creating for others and creating this ball movement.

Tyson Chandler with his 0.8 ast per game wants to talk about ball movement.

Where's that article where after a horrifically bad showing in the playoffs, tyson blasted everyone else on the team and excused himself claiming he wasn't at all to blame because he left it all on the court- that was the one that soured me against him. I think it was after the pacers series.

Woodson was mailing it in as well by the time he left, should have been fighting for his job.

All of that could've been said about Omer Asik and somehow the Rockets received a first rounder and $8 million in cap relief ($15 million in actual expenses) for him. Chandler's value should've easily surpassed that.
