His ability to penetrate, create/facilitate, opens things up for other team mates, especially AB
In some ways, in strengths and weakness's reminds me a bit of Lin when he was on the Knick's right in the start of his break out games....

Fair comparison...

Lin seemed to become a better shooter as he got more time and his confidence swelled, and hopefully the same happens for Alexey. Shved might be a better passer, IMO, but Lin was a pretty good distributor, and probably helped Novak earn some extra money.

The question is whether Shved will mesh with Anthony if he is around next year and has a significant role on the team.

The Dragic comparisons seem pretty apt. Play this kid 30+ minutes a night over the final 20 games and see if he can develop. Dragic got stronger and shoots over 50% from the field - but that's a pretty recent development for him, until a few years ago he was around 44%. Dragic is 29 in May and didn't really break out til he was 26/27, same age Shved is now.

I like this kid.

I'd keep Galloway and Shved over THJR. I wonder if we can trade Timmy for a second round pick at the draft or if he's been too exposed already.

I think THJ has been too exposed but I could be wrong. He's not a terrible prospect but you get the idea of what THJ's limitations are already. I think we need to try and bring in a SG that can do more than THJ does for us. Not just the shooting cuz THJ could easily improve his efficiency, but the defense, rebounding and passing. It would really be great to get a SG who is better in those other areas. Shved is showing much more than THJ from an overall production standpoint and i'd love to add another guard who could do the same thing.

This and I think we could actually get a late #1 in this draft for Timmy. Hes got a very friendly salary at less than $2mm and only has one more year guarenteed. A late #1 is a 3 year commitment. A team my simply decide THjr is closer to helping them than a late #1, and has a friendly contract/commitment.

I mean look at Alexy. Imagine he just gets comfortable here and becomes a good NBA player. Not an all star, but maybe a starter on a good or a nice 3rd guard off the bench who can play 1 or 2. A guy like Barbosa.. that would be a great find. Ill bet there are a couple coaches or GMs out there that still think they can get THjr doing good things for them. He would be nice off the bench for GS or PHo or Den to think of a few.

I really like shved he's a player worth keeping... High bball iq, very nice court vision, keeps his dribble, sets up the open man beautifully.. I swear If shved was given a chance on a good team he might lead the league in triple doubles... He knows how to rebound and if he was setting up Melo instead of jason smith those 7 assets would turn into 10 easly

Yeah, agree.

He would have had ten assists tonight if Bargs and Smith hadn't missed a ton of open looks he got them. 14pts 11rebs 6ast tonight.

2.5m a year for 2years would be the price I would pay to keep the development of Shved, not sure if we can get the team option for 2nd or need a player options
2 years later, we likely will neeed all the cap space we will have to acquire 2-3 or/and more TOP tier/2nd tier talents, depending if CA is still a Knick or not

Will we find 2 poison pill in the likes of Asik/Lin's contracts to offer and be able to steal talents from like Draymond Green and Kris Middleton *5m, 5m (2017 when cap rises 20m), and 15m in final year*
With the rise of the cap of about 20m in cap space and UFA's having talents that FIT in with the Triangle like

Durant
Whiteside

Lebron *though he will be older he will still be a leader, though I do not think he would be worth the 30m in MAX money at his age by then*
Kevin Love

Al Horford
Pau Gasol *player option*
Noah

D12 *player option*
Brook Lopez *has a player option for this summer and if he opts in, he will be a UFA in 2017*

Roy Hibbert/David West both with player options for this summer or become UFA in 2017
DeMaRRE DeRozan *player option for 2017*
Chandler Parsons with player option for 2017

Nene Hilario
David Lee

Brandon Jennings

Battum
Wilson Chandler
Gallo

DJ Augstine/Bayless
Livingston

Hickson/Speights

There will also be many RFA some of which will be unavailable as are expected to resign for the max money to stay with their current teams like

Anthony Davis
Andre Drummond
Lilliard

While there are some talents that are not guaranteed to stay like

DMO
Terrence Jones
MKG
Harrison Barnes

@reinman, he is hitting his open man a lot more now. This guys toughness and court vision is really good. I want to see what he can do against really good NBA teams.

His shot selection was a little bit poor but he got by Klay a couple times and played him on the other end tough.
