very impressed that Phil was able to get a first rounder back in dumping Smith & Shump.

I'll miss both - they had their moments as Knicks, but both regressed in different ways.

What a dumbass move by them, unless shump pans out they will be regretting it alot just like we did with bargs.

I liked the move even before the pick because we gained cap space but now its a real solid move by phil

It really is. That's a home run. I hated Shump. He will be like the 9th guy on the Spurs, have two good weeks and guns will scream from the mountain tops we traded the best two player since Ewing. See ya JR. Getting the season woody got from him 2 years ago was his biggest accomplishment

We essentially gained nothing since Phil took on Calderon for two more years losing 500k of room. I feel like there was a better deal to be made out there if you packaged tyson and iman together initially.

If the particulars of this trade are us giving up Shump and JR and getting back a future 1st this is an honestly good trade for us. The first good trade we've made in I don't know how long.

From the amazing putback dunk by shump and amazing bursts of scoring to uplift the knicks to win games against really good teams, to him getting his ass whooped by deron williams I will never forget this guy and his contributions. Won't forget him but it had to be done.
Same for JR although i hate him more, he really disapointed me, he had so much talent! court awareness, passing, getting to the rim, and great highlights but he ****ed himself in the ass quite frankly and regressed. Needed to get it together.
Anyone got memes from when he crossed up thompson then did a windmill on VareJao?

Oklahoma City will send a protected future first-round draft pick to the Knicks, league sources said. As part of the trade, Cavaliers rookie center Alex Kirk also will be sent to the Knicks, sources said. Cavaliers forward Lou Amundson and Thunder guard Lance Thomas also could be included in the deal.
