This would be another surprising move for the supposed advanced metrics lovin' Morey. Smith's advanced stats are godawful.

Wouldn't be that surprising. Smith's blocks, steals and rebound are about the same as they were Atlanta. You can easily make the case the Smith's demise in Detroit had more to do with the position he was put in on the court than him being washed up. It's a gambel, but there's a good chance that Smith can return to being player he was in Atlanta.

he sucked real bad in atlanta.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Dude was one of the most versatile power forwards in the league with the Hawk and his numbers back it up. Couldn't shoot, but he passed, blocked shots, got steals, finished on the break, scored in the post...

Did he cut Jennings too?! That would be amazing. Ha! Van Gundy just couldn't take it anymore. The basketball on display probably had an ulcer the size of a pancake churning in his stomach. The Pistons may actually play a whole lot better with Drummond and Monroe up front cause Drummond can protect the rim and make up for Monroes deficiencies just as Monroes scoring could make up for Drummonds utter lack of a jumpshot. Who knows maybe it Can work without J Smith chucking like a madman?

Dunno. Could work?
