What system are the Celtics Brad Stevens running

I'm seeing too many easy shots at the rim

Don't put too much into what you're seeing in this preseason game. This was more about Fish getting a look at certain things.

What I take away is that I want to see Wear get Outlaws spot cuz I don't think Outlaw really gives us anything of value. I like Acy and his energy. Can't wait to see Shump and Jason in the mix.

Wear showed us he wanted it in SL

As far as Fish and this team and time

I was one of the first that said the triangle

Offense is not an easy offense to run citing Kobe's comments

It takes quick thinking high IQ players to execute this

And talent of course, we have huge gaps in both

There was nothing to see in this game, other than utter confusion

Coach can teach the system but cannot grow the brain of the players.
We will need to get more players with brain good enough for triangle.
And this will take time.

It's not a secret that a system as different as the Triangle is gonna take some work to get used to. IMO anyone coming into this game expecting perfect execution wasn't being realistic. There's such a long way to go in this season.

I like what I saw from some of our kids tho. Good energy.

Our three PG's =not very good. Larkin is a turnover machine hes just not long enough and wasnt quick enough to make up for it. Jose's looks 34 years old and Prigs looks 37. We may have to try and look around for another option.

Early Acy Larkin not rotation players--I dont see it. Acy 6-6 energy player but cant hit a J. Early needs to expand his game from sitting on the 3 pt line.

Defense dreadful

The rotation will be made up of

Amare Carmelo Bargs(who is a terrible chemistry player--he needs a really good PG to play with) Jason Smith Dalembart Shumpert Smith Hardaway and the two PG's thats 10 with Cole A as a last big.

Based on what I saw from this game: (1) I think Cole Aldrich should be starting ahead of Samuel Dalembert. (2) Amar'e should be traded/dumped on another team. (3) We need an upgrade at the PG spots, particularly off the bench. (4) Andrea Bargnani might be useful after all.

Overall a good impression.
Obviously luck of NBA quality players.
We have one top dog and a couple more OK veterans...
All the rest will need to added at the end of the season and next year.
This will be a bumpy ride but looks like very interesting.

You can see where we have some decent players--how they go together--thats going to be tough.

THJ might be part of a big 3 or 4.

Our defense was not good--it was porous and unorganized

Im not sure Prigioni is a guy Id keep.

The D was spotty but they left Olynyk and Sullinger open at the 3 which is better that a ton of penetration. They should be able to fix that after viewing film. I'm actually not as worried about the D from what I saw. They did try to close off penetration pretty well. C's just hit some jumpers that made it look worse than it was.

Pablo looks like he'll be at the end of the rotation. Outlaw looks like he should be out and Wear should be in.

Yeah but other than his speed, Larkin didn't look that good. Also, I thought Shane made Pressey look tall.

He is running fast... but cannot think so fast as he runs...
Should be all the way around for PG.

I thought Bargs looked good at the start of the game. He faded a bit but hopefully that is rust.

Rust is his personality. Sometimes he is out of it... but not very often.
