Did you post the source to his own words

If you haven't you have my blessing to do so

Dollars to Donuts your source will read

Similar or extremely vague compared to what I posted

I've found one of my own but

I'll concede to yours and see if you can best it

Wojo is a pretty potent source in the BBall world

Vague "According to a person who spoke with Wedding Attendee Amar'e Stoudemire"

Yeah that's some powerful source you have there

I think that goes for pretty much everyone.

Not everyone. For instance...the Bulls have little issue atracting quality players even with the health concerns of their best player.

Love doesnt have a desire to go to the Cavs before lebron went back...neither does Shawn Marion.

The only players that seem to be attracted to play with melo so far are former Nuggets whom he's already struggled with.

There never was anyone in his Black Book

Because no one likes to play with Black Holes

Hopefully Phil proves to change the Melo Hex

Yup, even his bff Chris Paul denied the ride....even went as far as even denying interest.

...CP3 was traded to the Clippers, he didn't sign with them. Had he been a free agent and all things were even, I think he definitely would've been a Knick.

When was Melo a free agent? If Chris Paul wanted to be with melo he could have attempted to take the same route. He never attempted, but yet denied it all.

He never pushed the issue because he knew the Hornets(/Pelicans) couldn't indulge him. The Knicks surrendered every asset it had in the Melo deal save for Landry Fields, who quickly fizzled out soon thereafter. CP3's interest in NY was pretty evident though; he articulated as much at Melo's wedding.

Articulated? He said a toast, most folks are drunk when they say such things. Paul had zero interest in joining melo. We didnt even have the assets to get Melo, he wanted to be here and Denver had to take what they could.

Since when does a player look at a teams assets before demanding a trade?

All of them do.

As for CP3, a drunk speaks a sober heart.

It is well known, but only drunks believe in it.

Hang out with a drunk, unless you're a drunk yourself you wont be pleased with what comes from their "sober heart".

Second hand info, is now a players own words?

Chris Paul seemed to acknowledge and affirm those comments in subsequent interviews...

Paul, as reported in The Post, gave a toast during Anthony's Manhattan wedding reception to one day forming a "our own big three" in New York with Stoudemire and Anthony. Yesterday, Paul was asked by The Post if he regrets the toast.

"I don't regret anything during the summer," he said. "Everything that happens makes you stronger. Now I'm just happy to be on a great team that's playing really well."

Evidently he had nothing to say on your rumor though...

Yeah....because it makes all the sense in the world to discuss that at Carmelo's wedding; the idea of teaming up with "talent" that doesn't involve Carmelo Anthony himself...

Notice article is written 2012 but reflects

On what their plans were prior to

Yahoo! Sports reports that Paul and Howard, both members of the 2008 Olympics gold medal-winning USA Basketball team, had discussed teaming up in the NBA since 2009. According to the report, they had eyed Mark Cuban's Dallas Mavericks as a possible destination for joining forces after Howard failed to recruit Paul to the Magic and Paul failed to recruit Howard to the Hornets.

"I tried to get him to come to New Orleans," Paul told Yahoo! Sports. "It was back and forth, here and there."

...

Sources close to both players said Howard and Paul settled on the Dallas Mavericks as an ideal destination, knowing owner Mark Cuban had the means to clear salary-cap space for them. The Mavericks explored trades for both players, but didn't have attractive enough assets to make a deal. And while Howard and Paul could have become unrestricted free agents in the summer of 2012 by opting out of their contracts, neither exhibited the patience to make such a plan feasible.

Paul was all in for joining the Mavericks as a free agent in 2012, but he wanted a commitment Howard also had interest, sources said. Howard, however, remained indecisive about his future in Orlando and wasn't ready to commit to Paul. Frustrated, Paul eventually grew tired of waiting on Howard, gave up on the Dallas plan and asked the Hornets for a trade.

...

"We always wanted to play together," Howard said of Paul. "It didn't happen that way."

Sorry their colluded plans involved

Teaming up with this special player

I'll defer to CP3s own words and not some reporter who never confirmed any of his comments with Paul.

How did you come to hear about "the toast"? Were you there?

but if words are what ya want, here ya go.....

Explain to me how this proves anything. Those are the same generic answers that any and every player uses when plotting their exit.

Those are his words. No, every player does not say "i will not be in new york any time soon."

Carmelo said the same **** as he was actively lobbying to be traded to New York. Like I said before, those answers are the politically correct thing to say. But as is the case with political correctness, what you say does not always convey your intent.

Dude you can keep rephrasing the same **** over and over again but it won't change the fact that Chris Paul intimated that he wanted to form a big 3 with Melo and Amare, both of whom became Knicks. And when confronted with that fact, he indirectly confirmed it to the media. I'm not sure what angle you're trying to work here but you're not going to convince me that I should discard a man's own words for that of some dude who is peddling 3rd-hand info.

IMO Dolan got impatient. I think the move was to wait on CP3 and save the cap space for him. They went with the Billups Amnesty instead of STAT and grabbing Tyson. Just waiting and being patient and ready to pounce when the time was right but Dolan couldn't do that.

In the end now we have to see what Phil can do with his shot at it. We're in a good position now. Just play this out and see what happens at the Trade deadline and this off season. In the meantime we get to evaluate the players we have and establish a new culture here.

The impatience started right

After we signed Amar'e

No it started way before we signed Amare and especially during.

Some may say so with the

Zach and Jamal trades

But really we bought time until 2010

Signed Amar'e[which we shouldn't have]

Once inked, Dolan thought he could

Bring many other stars here and once he

Caught a whiff of the smelly egg gas from Denver

He couldn't resist, and that's all she wrote

All we can do is hope Dolan stays away and let's Phil do his job. I loved the deal to get rid of Tyson n Felton and draft Early and Thanasis. Plus we got Larkin and Acy. Phil's small moves and pick ups are pretty interesting. It just seems like a clear vision of what kind of players he wants to fit into this system.

Then we still have the Deadline, draft and off season to make further improvements. We just gotta wait and see how it all develops.

In the end now we have to see what Phil can do with his shot at it. We're in a good position now. Just play this out and see what happens at the Trade deadline and this off season. In the meantime we get to evaluate the players we have and establish a new culture here.

Bingo!

And it was not just Dolan who got impatient and stupid. It was all the starphucking fans

50/50

To not have signed anyone in 2010

Longterm maybe not so bad

Short Term, it would have been

One of the worse PR nightmares in some time

It would have proven everything prior was

All for naught and a hammer on New York

Being an attractive destination

Which is still debatable by and large

The Knicks were in a perfect position for a good GM to start over but not with Dolan being such a fool. I have some hope for the future with Phil in control and Dolan being hands off.

Wake me up when we get Melo some help…
