Plus we have 20 back to backs, and 2 sets of 4 games in 5 nights.
That Schedule does look tough but I think pretty much every team is gonna have a similar level of difficulty as the league is going thru a progression where some teams that were young and bad are developing into solid competition. This cycle is gonna see more parity and some lower win totals for a lot of teams as the league is more competitive. IMO the Knicks should be deep enough to deal with this kind of grueling schedule. Not to mention the new System will put pressure on teams to defend the Knicks. We often made it easier on teams cuz the could do a lot of standing around on defense against us. Now they're gonna have to all be moving a lot more for 48 minutes. This isn't going to be a fun team to defend with lots of ball and player movement.
Isn't this what I've been saying? The league is tougher overall?
Therefore our margin of improvement is near immobile
Reason being/////
The top half of the league didn't depreciate far enough than the lower half
Since the bottom half is significantly better there will be no easy gimmies
We all love to talk numbers, well let's look at our season last year
I'm posting the splits from last yr alongside splits for this season blank[no games played yet]
Fill in this yrs splits under last yrs splits based on the overly optimistic high 40-50win projections
/# = the amount games we play against opponent this yr
Shouldn't be too difficult to project if we can confidently say we're much improved
It should be clear as to who isn't, remember we were 37-45
