and NY fans don't? lets be honest... kyrie, wiggins, are very attractive pieces for lebron to play with over the next 5 years... they can prolong his career....
We should sign and trade Melo there. We can get a combination of young controllable players and draft picks. Im not crazy about Anthony Bennett but we could flip him for picks, Tristan Thompson and Waiters have value. I think Melo , Dalembert for Varejo, Thompson , Waiters, Bennett 2 2015 first round picks works
Cleveland would never make that deal!!
Knick fans are awesome
Its more believable then the Knicks getting Lebron, However The Cavs could easily trade all those players themselves for draft picks and sign Melo which would make a lot more sense. Bennett looks like a bust but someone would give up a first round pick for him. Waiters they have been trying to move for a year now. In fact i would try to acquire him anyway. I would of traded Shumpert for him when we had the chance.
I would do that deal without the picks, Bennett becomes expendable with Melo and Lebron, Thompson is the only player they would want to keep, could send them Shumpert back as well.
+ 2 1st rounders?
I would do it without the picks
Then what are you really getting? All you'd have is a 30 game rental out of Varejao, a bust in Bennett, a marginal rotation player in Tristan Thompson that is nearing free agency (who we shouldn't pay to re-sign) and Dion Waiters, who might be a zero sum player. Meanwhile, we'd be giving up an All-NBA caliber talent that is set to field career bests. Cleveland would have to come better than that.
