Could be longer. Why? He gets better!!! If so, rejoice. If not, say buh bye!

on the other hand, he can make decent money in Europe and play a game more suitable to his physicality.

Either way, we good.

LOL. I apreciate a few people still have faith in bargs but realistically he is what he is. He has been a disappointing former number 1 pick who can score BUT is a terible defender and gets hurts quite often. The good news is that he is gone after next year the bad news is that we lost out 2016 first round pick

That was then.

Look, the reality is the kid had an awful summer last year (Pneumonia) and He was making progress before his swan dive. The team doing better after he left could due to many variables including JR finding his stride. Im not saying for sure "I BELIVE" in bargs but HOPING the triangle provides a better system in which to play to his strengths. whats the expectation??? For a top pick and face of the franchise is one thing, give me 15, 6 and 3 and you have a hell of a player! Don't put the franchise on his back, but as a 3rd option player. High post in the triangle the kid is a treat cuz he can drive past most bigs, pull up and hit a shot, or pass. Not talking larry bird here, just skill set that MIGHT be conducive. He'll be better without Melo.

Bargs is one of the worst players I have witnessed. Before the Knicks I really didnt see him much, except when he was lighting up Gallo which was everytime. He is utterly terrible. Bad defense. Bad shot selection. No feel for the game. No BBIQ. What is his role on a winning team? He's a 7 footer who is horribly ineffecient. I had an open mind to the trade when it happened. After watching Bargs for half a year I think its one of the worst trades the Knicks have ever made.

Some of you gus are completely living on FANTASY ISLAND, or you just quickly forget how how long it tooks to win 54 games.

1)How quickly some forget that we over spent for Amare cause no one would come when we had a boat load of cap space

2)With not one single marguee player on the roster, Why would any veteran player want to come to a rebuilding team

3)I keep hearing as long we get some picks, for what, so we can be a (cavs, mini, sixers,)constently loosing.

Some of you are living a Pipe Dream just like MELO

I think we have seen about all we are going to get out of Bargs. Can't believe we shipped off a 1st rounder for this guy when they were going to get rid of him regardless.

yea I took those reports with a grain of salt. Now its 1000% clear that was the case. He's the worst "good" player I have ever seen. If he was an UFA he would get less attention than Cole. Any scenario where he's playing a role and producing wins seems like a total fantasy to me. I have much more hope that Felton comes back to have an impact season over Bargs, and I consider Felton to be toast (with extra, LOTs of extra butter).

The upside to the current roster is THjr, Shump, Amare, Murray and JR.

I really hope we strike a deal with Houston. This would protect any 2015 plan we might have.

Not many do but Phil has clout, 13 rings and an idea how to play and win as a team

That is as opposed to construction a roster of 40 year old geriatrics around a me first player

We will have cap space for 2 max deals in 2015. We will have an emergent star in THjr. We will (hopefully) have two solid rookies from this year's deep draft (assuming Melo to Bulls). We have PJax and Fisher.

I think a lot of smart players would see huge upside here.

This is what Ive been saying for a while now, too. We will suck next year and get a nice high pick. Then, Phil will have every single big contract the Knicks have coming off the books in 2015 and that gives the Knicks enough cash to sign 2 max FA's or 1 mac plus a whole sheehit load of nice pieces. Whatever is best! The future is not bad at all. Let Melo walk, let Phil have a clean slate and lets see what he and Fisher can do.

HA HA gallinari getting crapped on again-- i look forward to the tantrum-throwing that we're gonna see around here.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

when you guys are done wanking each other maybe you should actually read the words written. I had to suffer through at least 2, maybe 3 Raptor's games at the garden sitting next to DJ the converted Raptors fans. Me the Knick fan pumping up my own guys talked some smack about Rooster being better than Stallion and Bargs lit us up every time.

Whats really LMAO ROFL is calling yourself a Knick fan but still having a Gallo avatar on the forum you got the boot from. THATS funny ;) (on the inside AND out)

well if he has bum shoulders they shouldn't offer him a dime, but if they make him an offer it may be for the max... but if they don't... phil should offer him a disgustingly low ball deal.. I am hoping he offers him nothing, but if phil must, I would offer a 3 year deal of no more than 15mil per.. if he doesn't like It I tell him to take the best deal out there.. you did opt out...

I dont doubt it! When someone's douchebaggery reaches such epic proportions people will continue to talk laugh about it for years too come.

and your welcome! I agree about your legend status here also... Just in case we trade someone's often injured but favorite role player for a perennial all star and some mental case spirals out of control for 3 years because of it, we can always say "dude just lost it... he went full-TFK"
