But many people also say that it takes a few years to see if a trade worked out (not saying you specifically but many people say that).

But some people (not mentioning names) have said that a small sample size is never the way to go!

Additionally, they (not too sure who they are) say advanced stats are the way to evaluate many things!

Denver put a lot of money into Mcgee they had Koufus and several good PFs. Karl did not play Mosgov--you can only make a difference wehn given playing tiome--this is the first extended PT he has received---right now he is playing very well he is 7-1 250 and you can see his skills. Not many 27 year old 7-1 250 guys with them running around. It is what it is

Don't believe that Moz's salary was the determining factor in how many minutes he got from Karl. Consistency on the court usually gets you more minutes. If he had been outplaying the guys ahead of him on the depth chart this many years after the trade I believe Moz would have been rewarded with more PT. He may yet turn into a special player, but its going to take a lot more than one game to convince me.

The difference here is that we are talking about one game.

Yeah, with Moz I would focus more on the fact that he's produced at a very good rate all season rather than any one game.

Well the thread has focused on Moz's development overall. I forgot the OP was just discussing one game.

9 and 6 in 21 minutes isnt bad, if Moz can put up 18 and 10 with starters minutes, consistently, then it will be a different conversation. Not all players cant do tbat with increased PT. Time will tell

18 and 10 would be magnificent. Most all-star centers don't even put that up.

Fair enough. Have to see more than 9 and 6 for me to have any regrets about trading him 3 years later.

Also Moz got more minutes because mcGee and later hicks on were out with injuries. The Denver owner seems very committed to making the McGee signing look good.

Let's hear about someone on the Knicks getting chatted up for meaningless statistics during the meaningless portion of the jv season. Where's that Cole Aldrich Appreciation thread...
