Notice how they put aside all their selfish ambitions and now they trust one another.

Nobody has an opinion on this huh ?

These is the same roster, so did the two new guys Earl Clark and Shannon Brown bring this resurgence ?

I think some of the change might be Phil Jackson talk, maybe the break of CAA on the Knicks:

One Knicks player recently told ESPN.com that the CAA ties were a problem in the locker room.

"You see how guys from CAA are treated differently," the player said. "How they get away with saying certain things to coaches. How coaches talk to them differently than they talk to the other guys. It's a problem."

Sorry I never got the memo on CAA , what does that mean ?

Carmelo Anthony Allstars?

lol

This roster didn't want to play defense and now all of a sudden they want to rotate and help each other out on defense.

Now before the team showed us the switching defense was a foolish style to play on defense.

That tells me Woody has no control or influence on the team except the minutes he gives each player.

What accelerated the Knicks hunger to play the right way, many say just the mention of Phil Jackson's name.

So why were they playing so poorly before then and who was behind the mutiny ?

Are the players afraid of Jackson, knowing he maybe watching every game now ?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

playa - you are overthinking this.

Once the trade deadline passed, guys relaxed.

It ain't that deep. Happens every year.

we were losing to scrub teams earlier in the year.

Up until now, it was almost like an extended training camp for guys. Some were hurt, coming back from injury. Others didn't have their heads screwed on right.

Mista, I dunno, I am thinking though.

Right after Woody announced himself being the problem and taking the blame, the team started to play better.

And I don't buy that scrub theory, because scrubs were giving us the business to up until now.

Most here thought without Kmart we couldn't even attempt to play adequate post defense, but some how we play pretty good team defense now.

I'm not buying that we play more relaxed now, I think within our roster, players were giving half effort on the court collectively on purpose.

I think they wanted Woody gone( it's how we got rid of Danphoney), but now that a potential new Sheriff is coming to town they are playing to their potential no more cruise control especially on defense!

playa, is there anything at all to you that doesn't smell of consipiracy? Anything?
In the Sicksers game thread, there were comments about how lax the team looked at points in the first half when we were down.
And Bargs was playing great post defense against people like DHow. I don't remember anyone maintaining that Kmart was the key to anything. A definite nice to have on D, but not much else

Ease up and enjoy the games, Mr. Zapruder.

Believe what you want Jrodmc, This organization & team is fully of conspiracies and dysfunction, why you guys try and down play it now baffles me.

You among others can't handle the truth, NYK's dysfunction at it's highest where David " The Don" Stern former Commissioner had to step in and address the conspiracies & buffonery at MSG...... SEE ANUCKA BROWNE SANDERS !

Now get in the truck and shut dup !

One name for the reason we are winning and should have been starting for months. Amar'e!just the fact he gets everyone motivated in the starting line up speaks volumes of his veteran voice he also isn't afraid to call players out like chandler for dogging it

The first game we started this line up vs the pistons watching chandler just let Jennings go to the hoop for the easy lay up. And you can see stat look at him with disgust saying "c'mon man play some ball man" I think that embarrassed chandler and kinda lit a fire under his butt... That's why stat is the leader of this team and not melo. Melo is to worried about melo to get others to play there best!

That's the reason I pleaded for them to start Amare last year because I knew Melo 1 on 5 was not going to work in the playoffs. Unfortunately we wasted all of amares minutes trying to force a roll for him off the bench. Hindsight we should've given him off the first 3/4s of the season and started him late in the season in preparation for facing Indiana in the 2nd round

JR is not a 2nd option. Too inconsistent

Agreed big time. Amare has always been the key.. Also hope he stays with us long term ...he's a natural born leader, unlike melo... Melo needs a guy like amare for leadership and a veteran voice cause melo just worried about melo his mind will probably never expand.

STAT is a leader and showed that before Melo got here, but you have to be on the floor and playing well to be a leader. Thats rare with Amare. Hopefully he stays healthy. He's great to watch when he beasts like this.

Yea Amare was playing great last year so much so that his minutes were increased to 30mins. Shortly thereafter he went down
