Sure... dump him, and watch the MSG management use their cap space, lottery pick and flexibility to get... who? Kevin Love?Melo is highly highly respected by his NBA peers who are stars. When you watch what happens what star is going to come here? The Knicks will give out big contracts to 2nd tier guys.... because they can. Al Jefferson's contract comes to mind. Ty Lawson.. Knicks will end up giving 2-3 guys like that 4 year $60mm contracts and wonder why they are only a playoff bubble team winning 40ish games totally capped out with no future.
Anyway... regardless of what happens the fans arent entitled to anything. Its Dolan's business and he's running it well because the value has climbed impressively over the last couple years. He may be a loathsom drunken hobbit but its his show. Knick fans are the consumers. Business will listen when the consumer stops buying. Thats the only upside to Melo leaving. A couple horrible seasons that result in the NBA forcing Dolan to do what? We made the playoffs 3 years in a row, won a playoff series and now look like its back to the lottery. These things happen in sports no?
You feelings dont entitle to you dictate to Dolan how to run his business. A dose of reality folks...
Oh no! Not that! Can you imagine if we only won around 40 games and were on the bubble for the playoffs every year? What a downgrade that would be for us considering all the success we've had over the last several years
Now the joy of my world is in Zion
How beautiful if nothing more
Than to wait at Zion's door
I've never been in love like this before
Now let me pray to keep you from
The perils that will surely come
