I doubt this happens, but this is a trade I am down with! We can switch out Flu Tyson with a great rebounder and defender in Asik. We get our PG in Lin also! We would have to trade Felton. Felton is known to be a cancer when he does not start. I believe he did it in Denver and maybe Portland. The best part is I think they both also do not interfere with our 2015 capspace(I am not 100% sure on this part).

Knicks Interested In Trading For Jeremy Lin

The New York Knicks are interested in trading for Jeremy Lin.

The Knicks let Lin sign with the Houston Rockets in the 2012 offseason.

New York has been searching for trade possibilities at point guard.

Lin's contract expires after the 14-15 season, which preserves their cap flexibility for 2015.

But, but, but his contract is too big! We can't afford him!

Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Of all the embarrassing **** we've done over the years refusing to match Lin's offer sheet, trading valuable assets for Raymond "Worst PG in the NBA" Felton, and then trading more valuable assets to reacquire Lin would be right near the top.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

But it wouldn't even be the most embarrassing thing we've done this season; that's still trading for Bargnani.

K
Not really. The lin deal only counts as 8 mil on the cap because of how themes CBA benefitted teams under the cap. So while he will earn 15 mil, his cap number is around 8 mil. So it wouldn't cost the Knicks the projected 45-65 million that the deal would have had the Knicks just matched. The new CBA is a mess. Look how much it will cost the nets to take Jordan hill from the lakers.

Bargs, JR Smith and Fatton for Asik, Lin and Montiejunas would be a wet dream.

It is very unlikely that the team will make any trades just like it was unlikely that Woodson would be fired at the all star break.

I'm sure Houston would be falling all over themselves to take some of the worst players in the league and give us younger, much more productive players in return.

That's why I said wet dream.

Most likely this is what they are looking for..

Bargs, Shumpert, JR Smith

for Asik and Lin

They are still looking for that stretch 4 and Bargs fit that mold. They also want Shumpert for backcourt depth. JR Smith is contract filler. It's either him or Fatton and I don't think anybody in their right mind would trade for Fatton.

They are also looking to dump both salaries.

What do you think of this trade proposal Knicks fans ?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Bargs is injured and couldn't shoot the three when healthy.

They're not looking to do that either. Bargnani is one of the worst players in the league, has a higher cap number, and is probably out for the rest of the season with his elbow injury; Shumpert has little to no trade value anymore due to his play this season; and JR is right there with Shumpert in terms of trade value. Honestly, no one's giving us anything of value for Bargnani and probably JR. Shumpert might have a little value just based on his age and his potential but not enough to make up for the other two players.

It's reasonable but, for us, it's really a lateral move. If Rubio could ever develop a decent shot he'd be something special but he can't even reliably hit layups. And I like Iguodala but he's best as the 3rd best guy on a title contender, not building around. If we could turn around and trade AI for some picks/young players it's certainly worth considering and taking a chance that Rubio develops a shot at some point.

Dolan deals are for business 1st , basketball second. We need to bring back what won the knicks a Championship like the 70's knicks and the 80's Pistons team ball !

Nah, Dolan doesn't know the 1st thing about business or basketball. He makes deals to because he views the Knicks as a shiny toy and it builds his ego.

Kings frontline rotation is even nastier with Evans. I like what d'alassandro is doing there.
