you never know what's going on behind the scenes but for jr smith to bring up words like "betrayal", it seemed like he was lied to.

a lot of us have thought this as i recall.

what this may mean is that jr may also be on his way out if he doesn't fall in line and improve his play.

The instagram post should be the last straw. He needs to be fined or suspended for a game....I personally would not allow him in the msg facility, pending a trade. His conduct is detrimental to or existence

Bruh i dinno...is shump getting punished for his behavior against woody?

We need both, we're desperate for wins and trying to minimize the controversy.

Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

That's when we go wrong man cuz there is a world filled with guys that would slap their mother to get in the league. Tim Hardaway is better than jr and shump. They had Chris Douglas Roberts and let him go. That goes to show you there is talent it there. I are not desperate. We are stupid. That's the difference. The knick do not need these guys anymore. Time to move ion and cut the losses

Some rival agents believe Chris Smith's roster spot with the Knicks was locked in as a package deal when J.R. Smith re-signed with the team in July.

What this is implying is that some contracts can be worded in a way that hinders or discriminates against others on the team.

Who knows what Melo has written in his contract before he signed with the Knicks ?

This is why some of the inside politics on the knicks isn't understood by the avg fan.

I have to believe there are deals made in the contracts of former and present knicks players.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I do think Chris was part of a package deal. His contract was set up so that if he was on the roster for one day of the regular season his contract became guaranteed. Not a typical deal for a training camp invite. But I have to ask, what do you think might have been written into Melo's contract?

I can't tell you what's in Melo's contract, but I would think his ability to go to Iso any time he wants and he won't be sat down for it. Basically he's uncoachable if there is anything in his contract that cancels him out from having to play team ball.

Basically no reprimanding him written in his contract, this maybe why coach Woodson had to change agents.
Also Melo having the ball the majority of the time if he wants it.

Woodson had Larry Brown's agent. Dolan and Brown got nasty trying to resolve Brown's 4 year contract. I think Brown got 28 million for one year of coaching in NY after it was all said and done. Woodson had Brown's agent from when they were with the pistons. Dolan would not put more money in that guys pocket and I think he was right in this case. Brown told Woodson he should fire his agent to take the job.
