yea, I am, in first and I pretty much have a better handle on this team than most of you homers...

I am curious. How would you fix this mess?

I have stated this many times.. the problem now is that we have wasted so many assets that an even quicker fix is very hard.. no chandler, gallo, moz, picks, nothing..

what I would do is start off by moving chandler and JR smith for a deal that expires pronto.. like gasol.. I would try to get the lakers to throw us a protected pick, since they are in win now mode... that may be reaching tho..

Next.. Bye bye carmelo!! After that trade I am sure he opts out as he will see we are going into rebuilding mode... but he will want his money.. we know his greed, so agree to give him his ridiculous contract and trade him to a team of his choice, but it has to be a team that will give us a good package as well. .In other words force him to help us fleece another team like he helped denver fleece us.. we won't get pack the same package, no way no how.. and we are not getting blake griffin either..

so I am thinking more realistic.. but here is the problem, the teams with players and picks we may want are teams he won't want to go to... which is why letting him walk for nothing may happen, and again I am fine with that.... beats maxing him out or taking on other contracts... if he must go to the lakers, we have to find a way to expand the deal with chandler, get another team involved where we get a pick or two and a young player.. good luck with that as those deals are difficult..

next move.. play shumpert, THJ and oh lord(rolling my eyes) Toure murry next year... play them as much as you can.. see what they got, if they are keepers then we can move them for more assets as teams like good young players on the cheap, or keep them. it can be a win win.. if we suck, well we have our pick that year, thank god..

This would be a start, we would have a chance to evaluate our young players, benefit from the draft and we will have cap room which gives us options. You just don't know what other teams are willing to do, or maybe move a high potential player.. it gives us options.. i can't tell you trade this player for X player, it is silly, we have no clue who will be available.. so I won't go there.. but again.. OPTIONS.... DID ANYONE have a clue harden would ever be available?

This is not a sexy plan, but one that cleans house, gets us on track to try to build with a good foundation.. of course a new Gm and coach would have to be in place as well..

You're limiting yourself by only trading Chandler for an expiring. We could trade him to OKC for Perkins and a nice package of picks/young talent and his contract runs the same length as Tyson's. I'd bet we can a good package from LAC of Deandre Jordan and picks for Tyson as well.

That is pretty much what I want except I went ahead an proposed actual trading partners for the Melo dump.

Where would you send Melo that you think the other team would actually send us good assets?

It's enough for a rental (with the bucks hoping to somehow magically convince him to stay). Not if he agrees to an extension and then we trade him. But why would the Bucks, the worst team in the league take melo for what would only be a year? They wouldn't.

And why would the Bucks do something this stupid? Melo would NEVER resign with them, so they rent him for this season and lose a lotto pick? Crazy idea.
