I sometimes wonder if it's the GM or moreso than owner. I thought Ferry was similarly God awful but he doesn't seem to be doing too bad in Atlanta, although it's nothing to be impressed about.

Other than the Bynum signing and possibly Bennett, I don't think he's been that horrible.

Take Kyrie Irving away from the Cavs, which had more to do with luck than skill, and what are you left with? The worst team in the NBA by a landslide. They have developed a consistent track record for overpaying talent and drafting guys that either are picked too high (Tristan Thompson over Jonas V, Kawhi Leonard and Klay Thompson) or are flat out busts (Luke Jackson, Shannon Brown, and soon enough, Anthony Bennett). They are actually run worse than we are, which says a lot.

I agree with this. Send Jr. Smith to Philly for Turner too.

Why would this make any sense for Philly: Add a veteran that is a bit of a headcase to a team that is looking to rebuild? Makes no sense.

Supposedly they were rumored to be offering JR during free agency. But then I can see Philly just laughing in the NYK face with that and mine because Turner is a very good player and JR is well you all know.

Then why would you propose it if it's that ridiculous?

Obviously the pot would have to be sweetened to make it work. But honestly speaking I don't think Turner is going to resign there.

We have nothing to sweeten the deal with, which leaves this trade in the "ridiculous" aisle. More importantly, why couldn't re-sign Turner because we wouldn't retain his Bird Rights in a trade, so why give up assets for him?

King actually isn't bad at drafting players or evaluating talent overall. He's positively horrible in assessing the value of that talent (see the Travis Outlaw contract, Kenny Thomas contract, Kris Humphries contract, Greg Buckner contract, and the list goes on). If it wasn't for that tidbit, he'd be a decent GM sans, the overkill in trades e.g. his 6th pick for Gerald Wallace. While we,re on the topic, I geniunely believe we could've gotten that pick (aka Damien Lillard) for Amar'e who scored 19ppg and 9rpg that season.

Get this deal done. I think Shump is done in NY. He is throwing up air balls nightly, and not even playing smart on d. Woody is trying to give him the benefit of the doubt playing him and giving him minutes.

We ca be patient waiting for a better deal while he sinks into oblivion. Be thankful Waters is being offered. We need a talent upgrade.

Why do you think that we can be patient? Aren't we risking his trade value sinking too low.

AGree. Waiters is very talented. He has maturity issues but he also responded to coaching at 'Cuse. I think you have to do that deal. Shump is starting to look like that guy that was drafted by the Nets and played some point for the celts last year. Terrance Williams?

Waiters led the CAvs in scoring tonight with 24, had 6 boards and was the only Cav with a positive +/-stat.

It's funny because I was just thinking that we need to trade Shumpert before we Terrence Williams him. There was a point when I thought T-Will would essentially be Andre Igoudala 2.0, which he clearly is not. We need to move Shumpert now rather than risk this funk becoming a reputation for him.

Yeah if they can get Waiters they need to do it tomorrow. It isn't working out in NY for Shump. He seems to have some mental issues because he has tremendous physical talent. Cleveland is a lot more low key. That is where I go to see games now that I live upstate. The fans are low key and polite unlike a lot of other places. That was the case when lbj was there also. I think it might fix Shump. Waiters would be a nice fit for the Knicks. I don't know if he ever could play the point but I know Shump can't.

I'm a little guarded with my optimism about Waiters. I think he can excel but not in this situation. He needs a more stable and veteran atmosphere, which is not us. He also needs that latitude to be able to make mistakes, which makes things even more tricky. That being said, I think the Nuggets are a perfect fit because they are seasoned/mature but still young and growing.

I agree. If the Knicks could flip Waiters for Faried I think that would be a good move.

"I think Dion is a guy who can score and score in bunches,'' said Brown, who had insisted before the game that he wanted Waiters on his team. "I thought Dion played the game the right way tonight. He looked very good. He had a couple defensive lapses, but other than than I thought he was pretty good defensively.

"I thought he was tremendous offensively….He initiated the offense a lot of times where he drove the ball and kicked it to a guy who was wide open….Dion stepped in and took 3s at the right time. He drove the ball at the right time. He got to the free-throw line 11 times. He got six rebounds. I thought he played the game the right way and it was fun to watch him play.''

Sounds like Shump and a pick.

Interesting trade but why are they trading for a SG when apparently Woodson is gonna ride out JR? If they are keeping Woody, trade Shump for help in the frontcourt or for a young PG (Still behind you Murry!), and if you are gonna drop Woodson keep Shump and trade JR to a team like the Lakers who is gonna need guys to win now.

This team is such a clusterf.....They really should pull that Amare to the Celtics deal now, if the plan is to keep Carmelo at PF, Crash is a great fit at SF. PG is a real team need here, Beno fooled me a few games ago, but I have to admit the team seems to have a better flow with him on the floor than with Felton, who seems to be an ideal 3rd guard since he can swing between the 1 & 2.

I didn't realize Waiters was playing well some games and he is only 21. You are right about JR though. We rely on him way too much

Other than the Bynum signing and possibly Bennett, I don't think he's been that horrible.

This is business move on their part, they are the new LA clippers in a different way.

They keep giving their fan base a string of hope by drafting bad players so they can continue to stay and participate in the lottery. While not spending any BIG MONEY on young players.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

The silver lining is that they may have paved a road to New York for Kyrie Irving. I can't see him sticking around in 2016 especially since we can give him the option of "coming home".
