Do The Math

"(Donnie Walsh) was able to attain Carmelo Anthony in a blockbuster trade in February of 2011. But just four months later, Knicks owner James Dolan abruptly announced that Walsh and the Knicks had mutually agreed to part ways.

Walsh never wanted to gut the roster for Carmelo Anthony and knew Anthony had no other franchise willing to pay him what NY could. After Dolan peed on his term paper, Walsh walked.

Glen Grunwald was abruptly fired after he protested being forced to keep Chris Smith on the roster.

No one fires a general manager days before training camp. No one. Ever.

Is anybody paying attention?

I hear you loud and clear, there a guy behind the curtain Zeke Thomas

This guy is freaky

He trades for Marbury the grease eater on video

Curry who allegedly ask his Limo driver to touch his privates
Trades for Steve Francis who had a broke back mountain relationship with Cuttino Mobley

ARE WE STARTING TO SEE A TREND ?

Fire Woodson?

When one considers the cash the Cablevision ownership has squandered... no, wasted... no, simply thrown out of the window like it was confetti....

... and then look at the treatment of decent men like Lenny Wilkens, Don Chaney, Donnie Walsh and Glen Grunwald...

...it is staggering.... mind-numbing...

Kinda like being hit by a Mack Truck.

Fishmike, I was wondering the same thing.

But I will say this if and when Allan Houston becomes GM, The shenanigans with Dolan will cease.

the longer he stays the less of an assumed choirboy he is and more of an assumed douchebag he becomes.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

houston is just another part of the good ol' boys club. no different than mills.

if chris smith's contract is already fully guaranteed, then why is he still taking a roster spot? the answer to that question is why anybody that works for dolan will never be given true carte blanche to fix things.

Ha ha , when will the Raps get a bonifde NBA coach with a real good resume outside of the GTA ? That's when real good players will stay there. Their ownership is bogus in a different way you think? They ONLY care about making a buck. LOL

the hope is that the new guy in charge (lieweke) is the real deal as he did major major work with LA sports teams. we already got the all star game coming in 2016. and we just brought back the EOY in ujiri for a 5 year deal. they are both talking about not being that 7-11 team b/c it's dead man's land. so everything said "sounds" good but only time will tell if they execute. they said this year was going to be a wait and see approach and we will have about 45 days to decide which direction they will go. looks like they are going to tank (without actually saying it) and go for one of those top players in this draft. and if things are going to be rigged (like i suspect they are), we are going to end up getting a top player in the draft. i think adam silver likes toronto and is on our side.

difference between MLSE and dolan is that dolan would NEVER hire tim lieweke. so i think MLSE is willing to do what it takes now. at least i hope so.

djsunyc Donnie Walsh is as good as it gets. He had a strategy and a backup strategy. Losing Mozgov was the last straw. That was Dolan caving. Donnie knew his time was up. As an NBA lifer, and a New Yorker to the core, Donnie had other ways to invest his time and expertise, rather than being over ruled.

- Donnie Walsh

What he was thinking:

"I'm not surprised."

Factorial or Fictional?

An Eastern Conference scout watched the Knicks this week and when he was done, he didn’t focus in on X’s and O’s as much as a simple observation.
