Prigs is effectively the PG with Felton being more of a SG when they're in their together. As for Artest he's OK, but he's no Mason with the ball. Felton's role is to be the PnR PG, which he can do. Felton just lacks the court vision to be a pure PG. The Role Felton had with MDA was PERFECT for him. That's why Felton avg'd 17/9 under MDA. The way Woody wants to play is better suited for a guy like Prigs or Udrih. Smart, Patient PG's who can see the floor and hit the open man.

I agree which is why I wasn't thrilled with Getting Felton back when mad was gone. Felton's skill sets suited mad perfectly. We saw it first hand after leaving Larry Brown's bubble and excelling for 17&9 in mda system. Pick n roll with Amare. Pushing the ball up the floor with gallo Wilson and fields. Now he is back in that bubble again under Woodson. I also agree with you that a younger billups is perfect for Woodson because he hits the open man and is a lethal spot up shooter. Two things Felton does not do. No court vision and extremely streaky outside shooter. You team him up with famine JR not feat JR and you get embarrassed by Indiana or any playoff defense. I really think Udrih fits that role and will challenge Felton. Unfortunately we only have money for PArgo. Another 30+ slow 3rd string pg who won't improve our offense or defense and is definitely not a change of pace guy

Don't you remember how last year teams like Indy and Chicago used the "run them off the 3 point line" strategy on us, which lead to them clanking open mid range shot after shot? Well if they tried that with him here, this is what will happen:

Having both Bargs and him on the court ends that since both can shoot from the midrange. I really hope he signs here, getting both Ivan Johnson and Beno Udrih considering our circumstances would for sure cap off a [Amare] phenomenal [/Amare] offseason.

Exactly that's why Udrih is a better fit for Woodson than Felton. The offense goes through Melo. You needs guys who shoot efficiently around him. Bargnani and udrih will get plenty of open looks and unlike Felton will knock the down. Knocking down open shots makes a huge difference. We haven't had that since forever. Even when Felton is wide open you expect him to brick it

I'd love to have Ivan Johnson, dude is nasty he even wears a diamond grill in game . Good rebounder, rugged interior presence, and he has great speed. I like the Oakley comparisons.

I don't want to bring in Beno Udrih, that'll ruin the minutes distribution. Udrih is better than Prigioni who we're paying good money. We need a legit third string PG, Pargo is a great shooter and I love the defense Toure Murray brings. I'll be fine with any of the two. Please, no Bobby Brown I don't support these guys who play overseas and come over.

Udrih doesn't sell Jerseys off the shelves in Argentina, big difference is Dolan is in to marketing 1st and foremost.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
