![]() jr is the guy you hate to have on your team, but you have to have him now because you can't replace him, the knicks can't replace him, how can they replace him? they need his scoring way too much, it's a drug

The Knicks are approaching this like this guy's some perennial all-star that's a must keep at all costs...He's not. We don't need JR to be some ball hog low % freelancing #2 option again next year. Let this guy walk and come up with a roster where the offensive is spread out more among many capable players -- let Melo get his 20-25 ppg and then I'd like to see everyone else pick up the slack -- hopefully Amar'e won't break down and regains some of his scoring prowess (not holding my breathe here though, to be honest), Shump steps up and assumes more of the scoring load and then we add some nice young pieces -- hopefully a PG that can contribute some scoring AND a PF that can score a little too (among other things) in this draft...Then continue adding more young pieces that can score -- a natural 5 man that can score some; maybe another PF that can contribute in the scoring column (at least a guy that can rebound and body up); a guy like Craig Brackins that has a chance to be a real force in this league scoring the ball -- then there are more 3s, 2s and points out there that can score. I mean if I can come up with these alternatives, I can only hope Knick mgmt. can too. Instead they're talking about Quincy Douby and bringing back extra-E Williams (who will thumb his nose up at us if someone else out there offers him 50 cents more). I mean Quincy Douby??? Huh? Sorry but there are much, much better alternatives out there if you ask me. Has me shaking my head a little. I don't get it. They really need to look around more and keep digging. |

However when we really neded him in the playoffs he didnt deliver mostly because of his stupid suspension and the fact that he went our partying and never recovered. Im sorry but knick fans have a right to be upset with JR. Dont get me wrong Tyson didnt play well either but he was coming off a seriosu injury and he wasnt out getting drunk during a playoff run |

![]() he improved his ability to penetrate, which could break down the opponents defense but the coach did not give him the players/scorers to spread out the floor and PULL HIBBERT out of the paint
I cannot fault him for that, he tried to get in the paint but with Hibbert there and the strong DEF of 1v1 players of Pacer's he reverted back to his step back jumper and 1v1 moves I felt he should have started or Copeland, while either or could have played the 6th man role in scoring Blame Woody for lack of preparation, misuse of lineups and rotations his focus, facilitating, ability to rebound, DEF, came up short in the play offs but for the money we can pay him and the inability to turn him in to an asset makes a no brainer because of our talent that we need to compete |
