I like Jamaal Franklin's motor. The NBA season is long. Shumpert and Franklin in the backcourt.

I really hope they take him... he has the work ethic, he has improved his assists and defense dramatically in a short period of time. He can create and adjust shots under the basket and while driving, he actually has a quick release off the dribble, could be the reason why he can draw so many fouls off his fakes. He has a high rebound and blocks rate for a SG. He makes great passes. Great athleticism. Will win you ball games. Im sure he will improve his spot up shooting like he did everything else and improve his shot selection and turnovers (most of which are because of his shot selection) This guy has heart. This guy could be one of the top 5 players to come out this draft. Its not easy finding a player with such all around talent.

Shumpert and Franklin definitely would be amazing in the backcourt. Let JR go.

I had Jamal Franklin and Ledo as the only 2Gs I would be interested in. I understand its a shot making game(and he needs work on his shot)--but these guys both use the dribble very well--the other guy no where near it. Franklin is also the best rebounding G in the draft by a mile. Here was my own personal choices from a week ago. Almost every guy sans Mitchell uses a dribble. I like McCallum. If the Knicks could not get a big and went Franklin and McCallum(because Wolters is going to out round 1) we d really increase our attack and athletic ability.

So my board of players is
Tier 1
1. Muscala
2 Wolters
2b Franklin
3. Green
4 Mitchell
Tier 2 after pick 24
5 McCallum
6 Ledo
7 Schreoder

I read somewhere Franklin has shot the ball well in workouts and he would improve our rebounding and perimeter defense. I also think he has the length and ATH to play SF. I am warming up to him as an option.

I am liking Franklin also. HAs the athleticism and defensive intensity which I think will be the deciding factor. But really, I'd be surprised if anyone at #24 is of great help to us this year. Will see which player falls to us.
Note: I am less eager for Lorenzo Brown. In looking at his combine, he is quite slow. He will get beat too easily. Good passer and court vision, but...)

The more I think about it the more I think Ledo might be the best overall pick to solve multiple issues. He's a high risk/high reward player, but should produce right away because of shooting ability. He gives you the opportunity to go small and play at the 3, or go big and play in the back court with shumpert. He brings shooting, upside, and PG abilities to the mix.
