Every year we obsess over fringe NBA players.

You need speed, athleticism, strength, and skills.

Novak is a 6' 10" shooter and has trouble getting his shot off.

This kid has a very high ceiling. At only 19 years old, and with his skills set, he' gonna be a load. He's got the height and is a talented shooter. If we could get him with a 2nd round pick, he would be a steal.

he does have a lot of potential, very similar to what JR Smith had at a younger age with his body build, skills set, shot, and athleticism
I think Smith actually had more athleticism though

Depends on how great your skill level is, and if your sneaky quick and athletic. Plenty of stars in the league who aren't perceived as being great athletes.

Knicks will likely draft Tony Mitchell if he is available. They will try to mold him into a stretch 4.

If he pans out we can then have a traditional starting lineup with guys not having to play out of position.

I would agree. I think he has major upside and can be a starter in this league.

Very good question, he didn't elaborate. I would imagine they are trying to find a way to take on Marion without giving back much salary to Dallas. Possibly a 3-way maybe? But i'm not sure.

Right, almost no way Knicks can take on Marion unless it's a package of Novak plus Q, White, Cope, etc.

How about pick #24 3mm in cash for pick 13.

What the knicks need is the best TWO-WAY PLAYER available who can handle the pressure to play in NYC bright lights camera action.

All that other stuff means nothing if they can't play well for NY in MSG.

Just remember Woody doesn't play rookies !!!!!!!! Even if they have played well over seas.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Another guy who plays two ways who has received low exposure is CJ Leslie. I know there has been a lot of talk about Mitchell--I think if I went that route Id prefer Leslie. Hes actually longer and hes the best athlete in the draft. 6-9 with a 41 inch vertical and a 7-3 wingspan. He battle tested in the ACC hes got more physical talent than pick 1. Put him out on the opposing PG at 6-9 with his long wingspan. He needs to learn how to shoot from range but hes tailor made for the NBA. That is why this draft is confusing--there are many items on the menu.

Tony Mitchell weighs 30 more pounds than Leslie with a 38" vertical and 7' 2" wingspan.

I'd have to say Mitchell is more athletic.

He is certainly--I think Leslie is a 3 and Mitchell a 4. Leslie can handle Mitchell is more of a pure athletic 4 man. They are close athletically two of the top of the board athlete wise.

Nate Wolters jumped to 26 on NBA draft top 100 and is at #26 in the draftexpress top 100. This kind of confirms the tea leaves that he has been killing these workouts. Hes more athletic than people think and hes 6-5. If the Knicks want Wolters they very likely would have to leverage 24 on him--I do not think hes getting out of round 1. Either is Ledo.
