You can see the shot charts there. I thought last night was suspicious too but the Knicks shot mostly jumpers while Indiana kept attacking the rim.

It's slightly misleading, because once the refs make it clear they're not going to call contact when the Knicks drive to the hoop, then it puts them off- whats the point in driving if they're just going to get knocked down, lose the ball and get no whistle?

What annoys me the most is the way the refs blatantly changed the way they call the game to specifically accommodate a player (Roy Hibbert). How is that legit? Hearing all this "he goes straight up" crap (newsflash: no he doesn't!)- why can ref's suddenly change how games have been called all year just to make a specific player look good?!

This is the Knicks' fan perspective rather than the objective outsider perspective. CBS sports before game 6 actually had an online article where they said the only way the Pacers could win is if the refs *stop* making so many quick foul calls on Hibbert.

I usually like cbs sports, but Matt Moore hates the Knicks (he genuinely does)- not sure if he was the one that wrote the article. Though I'm always aware of my fan bias!

At least it'll be interesting to watch the Heat/Pacers series, just to see what happens with the officiating when Hibbert and Lebron collide- we'll have a better, more objective idea by then.

Yes the whole world hates the Knicks and Melo and is out to get them. It's a conspiracy.

The irony in your sarcasm is that NY teams are widely hated outside of NY. The fans are described as self-entitled and obnoxious. Even when the Knicks sucked we were hated, what other team gets all that vitriol when it's so far from the playoffs?

We are not hated, most NBA fans outside of NY couldn't care less about the Knicks or what they have "accomplished". I have lived outside NY for 15 plus years now (4 different states), I constantly talk bball with people - nobody gives a **** about the Knicks. Miami was HATED when Lebron went there, the Lakers are often hated, Celtics are hated and the Knicks are irrelevant.

I was in my car a lot yesterday and the Knicks/Pacers game was the biggest topic. Every espn guy I heard talking about the game was anti Knick and most were anti Melo. I agree the Knicks haven't been relative for awhile but the last two years have been different. A lot of people that never talk ball were asking me about Linsanity. Same goes for the Knicks this year getting national games, playing the celts being the only team in the east thought to have a chance against the heat etc.

A lot of posters here think that when analysts have called us a crappy team for the last 10 years+ that means they hated us as opposed to them stating the obvious.

I personally wasn't referring to any analysts (in fact I didn't even use the word), and there is a difference between criticizing a team and hating a team, and many of the fans of other teams that I have come into contact with hate the Knicks.

They hate us for our freedom. (Or because we're beautiful.)

I think Indiana had a bunch of calls that favored them

However, they were the aggressors, and they were constantly attacking the rim with multiple players from Lance, George, Hill, Hibbert, West,
When we tried to get to the rim, Hibbert was there to protect the paint without fouling majority of the times
There were a bunch of calls in which we didn't get, however, Indiana kept attacking because they had the personal to do so with the weakness in our defense exploited

We had a limited number of players that have the ability to get in the paint and finish, and most of them could not get passed their own man and Hibbert
Most of our shots came from mid range, 1v1 moves, and when we did try to penetrate, Chandler was often sleeping without moving/expecting the ball and largely ineffective

That was why having Copeland in @ Center would have changed the dynamic's of our offense with Indiana's DEFENSE
That is part of the reason why Miami is successful with Bosh/Lebron to play PF/C
Pull the shot blocker/defender out and we would have had our best shot, but it took Woodson till game 5 to utilize Copeland and he did not do it enough in game 6 after finding the recipe that worked the game before it...

Chandler was ineffective while Kmart was just too small, Camby NEVER got a shot and is our best shot blocker, while Amare gets minutes after NOT playing 3 months, makes me wonder...
