![]() It really is amazing. I have never seen someone go from being so good, to being so bad, in the span of one week (when no injury was involved). The dude just cost himself about $10-$20 million. Before I was worried a team might try to offer him a $7-$8 million contract, but I doubt any team offers him more than $3-$4 million now. You just cannot depend on the guy. At least he is still playing defense, which is the only reason Woody is still giving him minutes.

Time has been kind to him and stats cannot always tell a story, but Starks used to go cold and start getting t'd up at ill opportune times. We needed him as we need JR if we are to advance. The team need believe they can do it without him. Stress is a funny thing. All is not lost. |

not sure I believe Woody^ but, I'm hoping that if he doesn't bring it, he will at least give Q a chance. I really would like to see if he can bring something positive to the table. Dude isn't a total bum the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

![]() Enough with the madness. Earl Smith has just missed a few jumpers since the infamous Boston Elbow of Death.
“My thing is, those people need to get off the computer and let professional athletes be professional athletes. If they want to go out on a Saturday night, who gives a damn? Who cares? How come you don’t hear about LeBron [James] after he loses? You don’t think LeBron went out the other night [in Miami]? Leave the professional athletes alone. They know what they’re doing." - Earl Smith The defensive effort is what matters most and the Knicks have few options to compliment Shump on the perimeter. Pablo can snatch a few lazy passes and Kidd can deflect stuff better than 6'11 Jared Jeffries, but Smith is tough inside as well as around the arc. In his four games since returning from a one-game suspension, Smith is averaging 13 points on just 26 percent shooting and has missed 18 of his 25 3-point attempts. Do what you do. “He’s missing shots and he’s not playing well from an offensive standpoint. He’s giving a lot defensively. That’s why he’s staying out there on the floor." - Coach Mike Woodson Keep shooting it. once a knick always a knick

Two or three nice games, with a few quarter-closing or game-closing big shots, sprinkled with posterization dunks, and all of this will be a happy memory that will be seen as a great thing that kept JR's agent's mouth shut for a few weeks. And if this little lull keeps him in NYC while we continue to win, so be it. You only bother to yell GOD DAMMIT at the ones you love... |

![]() Best Line Of The Day
Much has been made of the downward spiral of JR Smith in these playoffs. Fortunately for the Knicks, there has been a corresponding upward trend by Iman Shumpert. As the saying goes, “When one door closes, another door gets dunked on by Iman Shumpert.” - Darwin Kastle once a knick always a knick

I know I was hoping that his hot streak to end the season was actually him turning the corner but I pretty much expected to come back down to reality. Never expected him to be this bad, though. Now the joy of my world is in Zion
How beautiful if nothing more
Than to wait at Zion's door
I've never been in love like this before
Now let me pray to keep you from
The perils that will surely come

![]() I won't feel so bad now, when the Knicks "only" offer him $5mill per.
That's as much a raise as he deserves for his performance on and off the court. If some desperate team offers him more, don't let the door hit you on the ass! Shump has proven to be more than a capable replacement, and potentially an upgrade. |

![]() After listening to his father, i think you can understand JR.
Let pro athletes be pro athletes. Ha, amazing. How about the first word Professional, try that. Don't mention you son in the same breathe as Lebron James. Shooters shot and if you force a pass you turn it over? How about forcing a shot. Woodsen is finally thinking about pulling JR? Give me a break. Smart shots we don't lose. It was very simple last game. Melo was making the smart pass most of the time and opening up his game because of it. Selfless leads to wins. |

Also, we outrebounded the Pacers by 2 while in game 1 we sat at -14...We forced 21 TO's with a difference of 15 compared to game 1 when the difference in TO's were 6..... |
